I was there, The first time England beat brazil in 23 years :D Other than that, City haven't really achieved much to say "I was there" Apart from Wembley, Palace and Rotherham at home

Yes I was there among the masses. No segregation where we were standing which was good at the end because I have never seen such a carnival atmosphere at any other match that I've ever attended.
And those other games include, City winning at Arsenal that season, FA Cup win at Anfield, Kevin Mabbutt's hat-trick at Old Trafford, all our Wembley & Millenium Freight Rover etc, cup finals and even back in 1961 at Tottenham when they turned over a 1-3 deficit in the European Cup by beating Gornik 8-1.
That evening in Coventry was a very special one for everyone there, City and Coventry.

Thats because you missed The Party son

You do however have my sincere sympathy, and I hope and pray that you will one day experience some of the incredible buzz of supporting your home town club in the top division. For one thing, I would like to go back there myself.
It really is on another level as far as pant-wetting excitement, entertainment, adrenaline, hero worship and day dream material (ooh er !)

Trouble is we are still a million miles away from
    Shaw
    Cashley
    Hunter
    Cooper
    Merrick
    Collier
    Rodgers
    Mann
    Gow
Gow (did I mention him twice ?)
    Tainton
    Whitehead
    Cheesley
    Ritchie
    Royle
    Cormack
    Meyer
    Fitzpatrick
    Did I miss anyone ?
    Oh, and Gerry Gow.....

Chris Garland, Donnie Gillies and Gerry Sweeney.
But we'll let you off as the memory goes as you get older. I know!

How about the Liverpool game at Ashton Gate toward the end of that first season? 38,600 crammed in to watch us beat the League Champions and set up that finale at Coventry!! Doesn't get any better!

Was in many ways the oddest match I ever attended by the end there were a group of us about 5 City fans a dozen or so Coventry fans and even a couple of Gasheads(where they had come from no one ever said) doing a conga from the ground to a pub suggested by the Coventry lads, we ended up staying over in Coventry that night because we got so drunk we couldn't remember where we parked the car not that I was in a fit state to drive either, and fair play to the coppers the next day when we explained we had forgotten where we left the car they asked what we remembered of where it was and drove 2 of us to the couple of places they thought it might have been and then escorted us back to pick up our 3 mates and directed us to the quickest way to get home. The girlfriend never forgave me because we had just moved into a new flat the day before and I didn't know the phone number to let her know I woudldn't be back that night.

"We all agree, Bristol City are magic"
I can still remember the whole ground rocking to that like it was yesterday

There was a special magic in the air that night, for sure
