When we beat Madrid away 1-0, we played them off the pitch. Same as we did against Milan when we beat them 2-0.
Don't see why everyone is so emo about Bayern. We beat Barcarole at our place when given no chance, we can beat Bayern.
Rather have Podolski or Cazorla over him, any day. Cesc and RVP are the clear difference between this current team and the one that played Barca two years ago.
Ok? Yes they are excellent players, but we have to play with what we have and what we have might just pull off a shock win.
Actually looking foward to the Arsenal game, be nice to be a neutral after spending the night chewing my nails. Would have had a better chance if you had the away game first though, i can never decide on the best tactics for the home game first. Away goals can be so important.
It's delusion at it's highest if you think we even have a chance against this Bayern team. They're 14 points clear at the top of the Bundesliga, which is easily stronger than the PL at the moment. We're admitting defeat because they're simply too good for us.
Just like Barca was too good? Or Bayern too good for Chelsea? It's delusion to think we have a chance? Spare me the BS. Arsenal have a chance, albeit a small one, but a chance nonetheless to beat Bayern and God forbid I think Arsenal can seize that chance.
If my maths is correct, Bayern have only lost 1 game all season. As others have said, we beat Barca with people like Van Persie and Fabregas, and Nasri and Arshavin were in good form at that stage too. This is a comparison between teams. Our Barca trumping side is on the left, our probable Bayern lineup will be on the right: 53 Szczesny ------ 01 Szczesny 06 Koscielny ------ 06 Koscielny 20 Djourou ------ 04 Mertesacker 22 Clichy ------ 05 Vermaelen (c) 27 Eboue ------ 03 Sagna 04 Fabregas ------ 08 Arteta 08 Nasri ------ 09 - Podolski 14 Walcott (Bendtner 77) - 14 Walcott 17 A Song (Arshavin 68) - 10 Wilshere 19 Wilshere ------ 19 Cazorla 10 Van Persie ----- 12 Giroud On paper, our defence that night against barca was pretty suspect, but they were all in good form, and Koscielny was in beast mode that night.
that is what is called "management", knowing how to keep the balance and know when to attack and when to defend if you did the same, you would win some titles and kept your players happy instead of watching them leaving
As a club we do not aim or seek to compete with such clubs as Bayern Munich. So, you can hardly blame some of the fans for their 'negative' attitude heading into that game. For our club and the way it's run at the moment, all the attention is going to be on Spurs and Chelsea and our battle for that top four place trophy. So, it's all about that game at White Hart Lane between us and Spurs.
