Tottenham hotspur.england's pride.first british team to win a european trophy when no one else could.now little team's like chelsea have a chance thanks to us! Not to mention the first team to win the double since the league was organised. Now little team's like arsenal have a chance thanks to us!
Sewerez`s cheating and diving antics were on display for all to see last night, over reacting every time he was (legally) tackled, falling over in the penalty box and brandishing imaginary yellow cards etc etc, is there no end to this horrible little runts disgraceful behaviour. After what we all see on a weekly basis I am flabbergasted that referees continue to fall for his antics, along with the Liverpoor loving media continuing to over rate the goofy Uruguayan. Thankfully justice was in the end done, as the penalty awarded by the sympathetic homer referee for Sewerez`s dive was brilliantly and deservedly saved by Foster. As for Championship manager Roy Rodgers, has has now spent around £50m in the last 6 months on players and has managed to make Liverpoo even worse than before.
Hello, chaps! Been away for a couple of days, but I did get to watch the Mouser v WBA match, last night, at a pub. It was in 3-D - the first time I have ever watched any 3-D TV, but what an initiation! Watching the Mousers get slaughtered, yet again, on their own turf! It must have been particularly galling for them, as it was a chance to make up some good ground on Everton. I sensed that WBA would gain momentum when Gerrard's penalty was saved by the excellent Foster. If that had gone in, it would have been devastating for WBA, after conceding to yet another outrageous dive from Goofy. The sooner he buggers off to Spain or Italy, the better it will be for English football. Why didn't BRENT-an Rodgers play Sturridge? Was he carrying an injury? If not, that was very poor management on his part. I thought WBA thoroughly deserved their win, proving not only why they deserve to finish above 'Pool this season, but also why Steve Clarke is a far superior manager to Roy Rodgers.
Sturridge was injured, HIAG. Why Rodgers decided to pay £11m for Borini and loan out Carroll is another story altogether, though.
Tots. On another thread it says "bigsmithy9 did not like your article". I certainly did not write that.Who the hell did I wonder. Ghost writers?
And yet the Liverpool loving media continue to lay off Rodgers............ had this been Spurs in Lollerpool`s position, AVB would have been slaughtered by now.
Rodgers is a decent enough bloke and I don't wish to ridicule him, but some of his comments really suggest the pressure is getting to him. Blaming the young players for the defeat at Oldham was crass. Claiming that Liverpool were top four contenders was foolish; they are way behind the standard of Spurs, Arsenal and Everton, not to mention the top three. Swansea and WBA have shown more quality, more often. They are doing well to be in the top half- thanks mainly to Suarez and the occasional contribution from Gerrard.
I said, three seasons ago, that 'Pool would be a mid-table team for at least the next decade, and they'll do well to survive in the EPL. I was laughed at. Three seasons later, 'Pool are an established mid-table side who are doing well to survive in the EPL. And I still can't see them getting top 4 any time soon. I'm hoping that another two seasons fighting the likes of WBA, Swansea and Norwich for top-of-mid-table places will have knocked the delusion out of all but the most hardened of "70s" Mousers, and this thread will have proven to have been a leading-light in the sea-change. I'm sure that it has already helped a lot of Mousers, like Zingy and Reverend. One day, they will thank me. I'm not saying we'll become great mates, but I'd like to think they'd buy me a beer, if I found myself stuck on Merseyside.
I wouldn't be surprised if Carroll was on inflated wages. We had the same problem with several Comolli signings.
Just been reading some of the posts over on the Mouser board. As always, it was thoroughly entertaining. There are a couple of threads asking the question, "are we good enough?" which seem to be an utter waste of time, because the quick and easy answer to that question, quite obviously, is "no, you are not." There's another, equally hilarious thread running (very much along the same lines), in which the Mousers are asking which of their squad is good enough to get into us top 4 teams. Again, the quick and easy answer to that question is, "none of them," but the Mousers are perpetuating a particularly persistent delusion that they share, in which they believe that about half their first team is good enough for top 4. It is utterly laughable. Is there, honestly, any of the 'Pool squad that you would put ahead of our first XI? Johnson at RB, perhaps? May be, but I'd still be looking to pick Walker as first choice, and use Johnson only as an incentive to Walker to keep working hard. Suarez over Defoe? They both seem to go through purple patches, and then hit the skids, when they couldn't hit a barn door from twenty paces. I think I'd rather keep Defoe, and keep looking for that elusive marque striker that can take us up to the next level. Gerrard? Not a chance! We have at least four midfielders who are at least as good (or better) than him, and they have youth on their side. That's it! I can't think of any other 'Pool player that I might even remotely consider, let alone shoe-horn straight into our first XI. And, therein, lies 'Pool's problem. They simply do not have any top 4 players. They are not a side that has any right to challenge for a top 4 slot. I really do wish that there was a Mouser out there who had the balls to stand up and tell the other Mousers how it is, since the Mouser-mods do not permit neutrals onto their board to speak with the voice of reason.
There you go a quick read www.not606.com/showthread.php/196419-Good-enough , Sturridge would get in a Top 4 side, even though he has been sold by a Top 4 side for not getting in their side.
One of them actually - and seriously -lists all the following as qualifying: Reina, Johnson, Kelly, Skrtel, Agger, Enrique, Lucas, Gerrard, Henderson, Suarez, Sturridge. You couldn't actually make this stuff up!!
Liverpool say if they hear any racist abuse against Zenit St Petersburg, they'll walk off the pitch. Given they have Luis Suarez in their squad, does this mean the players regularly walk off during training?
