At least we know Vardy and Waggy are capable, they're just like Fryatt was when he was here. Where they can go a few games scoring goals and playing well but then they'll go and have a drought for ages.
Waghorn is a very good player but to get the best out of him I think he needs to play every week. It will take him 2 or 3 games to get some form, and that is something we can afford to do. Vardy is like a **** version of Iain Hume without ability. Futacs will be alright as an impact sub thrown on to cause some mayhem in the oppostition box but im not sure about him starting
Agree Futacs would be a great impact sub but I would bring him on in the last 20 seconds of a game as he makes NO impact at all What the **** did we watch last night, for those TV viewers it was probably the worst game on TV this season at any level, did we not want to win that match. Lifeless, Gutless, no fight no passion and all bar Wes and Keane the others dint show one bit of interest basically couldn't be arsed. Pathetic showing and embarrassing
I think you are being unfair to Futacs, yes he was bad but Nugent had his worse game for city and did not support the lad at all! and he did not have any help from Dyer or any city player on the night! he his not my number one choice but i would still give him a chance ahead of Vardy, if played the same amount of games i think he would have scored more goals. Should have got a tough midfield player in Jan window IMO.
If anyone watched the game the commentators themselves said he had a pathetic game. We lacked drinkwater to wizz the ball around, and wellens did nothing as usual.
I think describing Futacs as "shocking" is a bit strong, considering the performance of Nugent on Tuesday night. Futacs will need a run in the side before he can be called shocking. Some people have no patience!
Lesta4eva - is our new Shock-Jock Darren Fletcher is a Crock-Jock Eddie Izzard is a Frock-Jock Rac C Nesbitt is a Mock-Jock ..................and ........ Charlie is a capital Knob-Jockey ...
Futacs needs a run in the team for me, would start him over Waggy and Vardy in the league, because they have blown their chances when they've had extended runs in the team.
I wouldn't say Waggy has blown his chance, he was playing really well before he had his appendix out. Then we signed Wood, and the rest, as they say, is history. Thing is Waggy does need a run of a few games to get going, but I'm still a fan and really rate him.
Waggy has scored 3 goals this season, thats not enough, problem is alot of people think back to that 1 match where he hit the bar and post, although don't seem to be aware that these are more shots off target.
I agree, if he was more "match-fit" as they say, he might not have fluffed his lines with that chance in the second half and might have been a bit more useful. The lad has played about 4 games in total, alright he's not been great in any of them but he won't get any better on the bench. It's all much of a much-ness though, as they'll all be axed for Wood when he's back. Shows how much we rely on him - losing both games he has missed. Before he signed we were the same, making chances and not taking them.
Futacs is an unknown quantity, as he doesn't get many starts, Vardy and Waghorn are pretty poor in my opinion, very worrying our back up is in such a poor state, god help us if we get injuries and suspensions when were in the play offs........
I agree with everything there. Waggy was one of our best players before Christmas. He lost his place because he was recovering from having minor surgery and then Chris Wood came in and made the shirt his own
