the last time we played a strong non English side in Europe, it was Bayern away and we lost so am a bit nervous
Barca/bayern have to fancy it with no Chelsea in the comp this year. Juve/united and shaktar are very good too
Definitely, I bet when Hazard decided on his 'project' then all the big teams were quaking in their boots, and even more so when the master tactician himself Rafa become manager. Personally I would rather play Barca or Real Madrid with our reserve team than have to play Chelsea with our full strength first team...
The whole of European football breathed a sigh of relief when Chelsea were so cruelly knocked out at the group stages. They seemed nailed on to become the first team to defend the Champions League.
tbh Chelsea are in a transitional period, and is currently a disjointed side bcz of relationship between manager, players and fans yes, am sure they were happy to see you out, but I will rate current Chelsea as good as the other 2 teams who qualified in this group, and tbh those 2 teams who qualified played better than you guys
a liverpool fan at work said to me today, '' Madrid will batter you tonight Matth ''. he said the same when we played City 2 months ago and before i came home he said, '' i can see you getting a result tonight''.
i'm ****ting myself ahead of tonight's game, if we beat 3-2, then we'll have a chance of going through to the quarter final.
"To play for City not United? I'm not going to do that. Why? Because my heart's in Manchester United, that's why. "I can say it would be very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very difficult to play at Manchester City. Very difficult because of Manchester United." He added: "I am a player of Real Madrid and I'm happy here, my family is happy and everything is going well for me here. The future? I don't know - only God knows the future. "I can't say I'm never going back to Man United, but I can say I'm good here and I want to be here. "Let's leave it at that and see what God gives me in the future, but I repeat I am happy here at Madrid." ---------------------------------------- http://www1.skysports.com/football/...ster-City-move-as-his-heart-belongs-to-United

First question to Fergie from a French reporter, about a kiss and tell involving Evra. Fergie:"Was that a grenade thrown in there?!" #MUFC
Hola from Spain ! Starting to get quite nervous now ( the old butterflies in the belly syndrome ) but a few more bottles of Mau and I can start to relax. The locals are quite divided here with as many wishing we hammer Real as those that want them to win. Real Madrid in Spain are a bit like United in the UK, in so much as you are either a supporter of the team or you hate them with a passion and although Real are by far the biggest team here, the vast majority of football fans in Spain can't stand them. As for the result tonight, although I would settle for a score draw, I have a feeling that Sir Alex has something up his sleeve and a win for us is not out of the bounds of imagination ! 3-2 to us ? or should I just have another beer?
Heart says United, head says Real. Their midfield is the key. The fact that Modric will probably only make the bench, whereas if he were a United player we would be building the midfield around him shows the gulf in quality between the two sides in this area. Would like to see Kagawa start though. His mobility and subtlety on the ball is something none of our other midfielders posses. -------------De Gea----------- Rafael---Rio--------Vidic----Evra -------------Jones--------- ------Carrick------Cleverley--- Rooney--------------------Kagawa ------------v Persie--------------
On the other hand, would you want Valencia on the right to help double up Ronaldo? Valencia's work rate and willingness to help defend are outstanding, he's also probably are best option on the counter. With that lineup I just Rooney either getting isolated or he'll drift infield and there will be just open space down the right side.
