Yes we were awful last night, but I think people are over reacting, especially some of those phoning in on the radio last night. (Of which 1 or 2 seemed extra thick!!!) Nigel will sort it, he usually does. I felt a bit sorry for Futacs last night. He was brought in from the cold (no pun intended) and everyone was expecting him to work wonders. Nugent was woeful, how many times did his 1st touch let him down? But because he is loved by the fans he has escaped most of the criticism. Did Dyer even touch the ball when he came on? Did Waghorn and Vardy change things up front? No, no and no!! I didn't boo last night, I never have done and I never will, we will come good again so can we please stop over reacting. Yes it was poor, but do most of the Leicester fans expect us to win 5-0 and play like Barcelona every game? If the answer is yes, then make sure your passport is up to date and get down to the airport!! Keep the faith and get behind the team, together we can do this.
Having supported the club for as long as I have,I know not to expect anything.I do expect the staff of the club to apply themselves properly and in a professional manner... not dish up a half hearted could care less effort that I have paid hard earned money to see
Both posts above make some excellent points ... personally I'm gutted because I love the cup and a good cup run and progress in the cup has throughout my lifetime supporting city often been a fairly good barometer of the quality of the team (squad) - for those that say it doesn't matter, just look at the size of our travelling support in the cup... Anyway - yes in this season the concentrated effort needs to be directed to promotion - but we do need to use the last few games as a wake-up - we seem to have developed the habit of going on a good run that takes us into the automatic promotion spots then inexplicably fade out of the m - we need to put that inconsistency right and fast - we are not even guaranteed a play-off spot - the charge is now on and I fear Blackburn as much as anyone - Cardiff have all but flown and this is now going to be a real dog-fight to the end in terms of who will join them in the Prem at the end of the season..
didnt you lose 3-1 at home to posh and only draw away? and didnt you lose to barnsley in the f.a cup? not to dissimilar to our last 2 games then. Also dont get carried away by scraping past derby, we beat them 4-1.
According to AKCJ, we were in a slump when we lost to Wednesday and then Barnsley in the cup, it's payback.
I'd happily admit we're in a slump, rather than trying to cover it up and pretend all is fine and dandy, by claiming that the Posh result was a one-off and the FA cup doesn't matter because we weren't full strength
OK Charlie, we're in a slump and will continue to be until Wood returns. Sadly for you, that's our next match...
We gained 7 points on you. If you didnt have a slump what do you call it? Oh no we lost in the FA Cup how **** are we? What round did you make again?
You'd won something like one game in four in the league, and then you struggled past Leyton Orient and then lost to Barnsley in the cup. A 'slump' if ever i've seen one.
In the league, we'd drawn three and lost to Wednesday, in the cup our reserves beat Orient, then we lost to Barnsley. It was only a slump when compared to the fact that we were the best performing team in the league during December.
Not winning a league match in an entire calender month has to be considered a slump by any top ten team. I blame manager of the month. I'm dreading Pearson winning it (it's announced in two days!). We've already got off to a ominous start this month!
