Joe Jordon's son,Tom Player in his second Game for Sutton last night as they beat 2nd place Welling 2-1.he had a hand in a goal last Saturday on his debut in a 1-1 draw at Hornchurch
Have you seen the league table recently ?? After last nights games, there's only 6 points between 8th place and 20th !!! Sutton look handily p laced for a play off position although that assumes they'll win their games in hand.
yeah,it's very close, that win moved Sutton up7! places,Sutton can finish in the top 4,like last year, but it will still be tough
There's a few ex-Spurs players playing in that league, in fact there's at least 3 at Hayes and Yeading. A neighbour of mine is playing for Farnborough in that league and he was telling me they played Havant last weekend who had 2 players sent off and so promptly responded by trashing the away dressing room !!
I know a couple of ex-Sutton players had something to do with Spurs youth's a few years ago,Keith Blunt and keith Waldron.Sutton have ex Spurs Youth James Foulkes playing for them
The club website seems slow in it's updates on fixture changes, so for information, 3 of our games in April have been changed to a Sunday. These are Everton at home which will kick off at the odd time of 2.05 on Sunday April 7, the away game with Chelsea which will now be on Sunday April 14 at 4.00 and the home game with Manchester City which will be a 1.30 start on Sunday April 21. The Chelsea date does clash with the weekend when the FAC semi's take place so that is subject to change should Chelsea get that far.
Witnesses claim he was showing no remorse this morning, one lady noted "he was walking with a spring in his step" Sorry, shouldn't joke.
I hear Harry's complaining that players don't talk to each other any more when travelling. They just put on the earphones. Sounds like a good idea with Harry about. Perhaps he's having trouble filling his newspaper column.
Given that he's the manager, couldn't he just ban earphones when travelling to encourage player interaction? His era of player would've spent the trip boozing or gambling though, to be fair.
For those of you who like to know what's going on in other areas of the club, you may like to hear we have appointed a new Head European scout, an Australian by the name of David Magrone. Magrone has an interesting background as he is a fully qualified coach at UEFA grade A level and has also been a football agent, and it was in this role that he brought Massimo Luongo and Giancarlo Gallifuoco to our club. He will primarily be searching abroad for the top young talent and although the club has yet to make this appointment public, he has already started his work.
Cheers, SC. About time we filled that role. Seems that he has some connection with Ajax. Another Sherwood recommendation: http://theworldgame.sbs.com.au/aussies-abroad/news/1140832/Aussie-heads-up-Spurs-Euro-operation
We're going to be pretty dependent on this guys work for a few years if the new stadium ever gets built.
