I'm well aware of your final point. However, on balance of play, we twatted them and should have won. We didn't and that's what's in the record books, but I'll never agree that they deserved it. However, I've seen it too many times before with us, including during the glory years. The opposition goalkeeper has a fantastic game and we get beaten. I remember thinking to myself last night "We're going to get beaten here". I remember clearly a game against Coventry City in the late 70s. I was there and the same thing happened. And we got beaten. We were in our pomp then - same result.

Are you not getting tired of saying we should have won RHC?

  3. Story of last season was us either hitting the woodwork or coming up against an in-form keeper. I argued at the time that we can't be that unlucky as to come up against a on fire keeper that often and, quite simply, it doesn't matter what kind of form the keeper is in if the shot is in the corner! Basically, our shooting is giving these keepers the opportunity to look good IMO <doh>

This. I said the same last season - with a clinical enough finish no keeper in the world will stand a chance. And if a keeper's not had a lot to do during a game, like Reina last night, they are more likely to concede the first shot they face. But if you keep giving a keeper easy saves you keep them warm, alert and confident, and so they are more likely to make the difficult saves as well.

The worst thing about Liverpool's comedy season is that BBF has pretty much gone to ground.

I look forward to his in depth commentary on every chance Real have, how they are battering us and should be five goals up, and of course the obligatory comment on every poor pass or misplaced shot by Rooney <ok>

Unless we come back to win 6-5, in which case it will rapidly change to resemble a chocolate rice pudding factory...

Gerrard will be quitting football rather soon according to some.

Something to do with the gangsters who have blighted his career somewhat. Blighted probably the wrong word so replace it with 'annoyed the **** out of him during' or something.

No source, just rumours that didnt come from twitter hence why its in here and not the banter thread.

Regardless of it being true or not ( lets assume not ) does anyone have any idea of the problems Steven Gerrard has with Liverpool gangland fellows?

If you were Gerrard and had trouble with some glorified dole dossers that call themselves gangsters you would just find the right kind of people, forward them a few 100k to a few million and make them go the way of the dodo.

Unless you a pussy or they have so much info on you that you are terrified of course.
