I'm concerned, worried almost. For a long while now (4 Managers) we've all been saying we need a striker. Steve Bruce routinely says in the press that we need to take our chances, bury the opposition, seal the win, secure the points etc etc. We regularly create more "chances", more strikes at goal, better crosses etc etc than any other team. I know we went for DJ Campbell, but shouldn't we have had a back up plan? I really thought the emergency loan window would open to the roars of approval as we signed a master goal scorer, but no, not even a wimper so far. Even the only rumour is about George Boyd, a fine player I'm sure, but not a striker, certainly not a "premiership" striker. So as another missed oportunity to go "clear" second at the weekend recedes behind us, and as another game rushes upon us tonight, will someone please just make up a rumour about RVP to stop me panicking.
We've got a striker, Prossie! Course, we loaned our other striker to Ipswich... Wait, didn't I read something about some Egyptian striker? Nah, musta imagined it. DON'T PANIC!
No, the "panic" option was recalling Aaron. So we still have plan Z to fall back on...........................We're doomed!!!!!!!!! Unless Brucie has a hidden weapon to deliver. I'm sure he does. I still believe (just).
We dont know that Gedo wont be that hidden weapon. It is still possible that he can deliver. If Gedo cant step up quick then the playoffs will probably be in the cards which is really nothing to panic over. I mean, most of us would have taken that before the season started.
I agree 100% with the original post. We've had this problem for 3 or 4 seasons and Its beyond a joke now. Surely anyone can see that we're a good team who plays good football and creates a decent amount of chances... we just lack quality in the striker department... so why the hell have we not gone out and brought strikers in ? Aluko is not a striker, Prozzy was/is unproven at this level and a massive gamble which so far has not paid off, and bringing in Gedo to help us gain promotion is quite frankly pathetic. Bruce should have been scouting for strikers since his arrival and we should no longer be talking about it.. especially when we were 2nd when the January transfer window started. its mental! also dont forget its not just a good striker we need to buy.. its a bloody goalkeeper too!! rant over
Let me make it clear, this is not a whinge. I fully understand how difficult it is to attract top strikers to Hull. I understand why. I don't understand why we can get top quality players in all other positions. We are in a better position then I expected. I just don't want to waste the chance. Have we been chasing a quality striker for months? If not, why not? So, what can we do?

why should we panic? we would have dreamed about a play off place last year. If we stay in the top 6 i'm happy, top 2 then even better.
