Oh dear charlie http://www.cpfc.org/forums/archive/index.php/t-113392.html Fans taunted over London bombings Upset QPR fans left the ground early . Police have launched an investigation after Queens Park Rangers fans were taunted about the London bombings. The club's supporters were subjected to chants including, "You're just a town full of bombers" by Hull City fans. Hull City chairman Adam Pearson has promised to ban anyone found to be involved in the abuse during the Coca Cola Championship game on Saturday. Police said a 21-year-old man from East Hull, arrested for racist chanting, was fined and banned from football matches. Some upset QPR fans left the KC Stadium before the end of the game. QPR fan Val Both Hull City and Humberside Police are studying CCTV footage to identify those responsible. One QPR fan, called Val, who was at the game, told BBC News: "Suddenly the Hull fans started shouting songs about the London bombings. "It was really upsetting. We came out of the ground in tears. I couldn't believe it." Hull's police commander Ch Supt Sean White, said: "I fully agree with the sentiments of anger and disgust. 'Great shame' "We're talking about 30 to 40 shameless cowards who made these chants towards the end of the game. We're just not going to tolerate them. "We did intervene and made a number of arrests on Saturday. It has brought a great deal of shame to Hull City. "What I really need is the support of the public. While we know their faces we don't know all of their names." A Humberside Police spokesman said a number of people were removed from the ground by stewards. Mr Pearson told The Times newspaper: "I've been told the fans chanted, 'You're a town full of bombers,' but I didn't hear any of the chants. "Obviously, if the allegations are true then we, as a club, completely abhor this sort of behaviour and those responsible will be dealt with accordingly - and that means banning them." So its ok for Hull fans to mock the dead - makes them vile scum in my book
I believe we were singing to Crystal Palace, 'You trashed your own town, you trashed your own town, how thick must you be, you trashed your own town! It's hardly racist is it? It's like when people call us Dull or when they say that we like wiping our bum on phone boxes, we don't really class that as racist, just a bit of a joke but that is worse, so it's just them having a paddy!
But you were singing "more should have died" to QPR fans about the London bombings Some sense of humour you have if you thought it was a joke!!
As the dust settles a bit of realism from a man that lived the Millwall life and not one of Murdoch's patsys doing a hatchet job for agendas unknown. http://www.lifesapitch.co.uk/opinions/millwall-football-club-the-truth/
'All clubs are prisoners of their history. The moment Millwall were drawn to play at Luton Town in the fifth round of the FA Cup. it was inevitable that grainy images of infamous scenes at Kenilworth Road in 1985 would be recycled. Any disturbances on Saturday will be magnified. Perspective – Millwall have played at Luton 13 times since 1985 without major incident – will be lost. The danger of attention seekers causing havoc is very real'
And when is it that sky are due to go to Brixton in some of the pubs and clubs there and film part 2 ?
What do you think I am, RACIST?
Bristol City in peace; I admire the reaction from Danny ****tu in that he publicly denounces such behaviour. It always takes courage to speak or stand up to bigots. Take a lot of credit you genuine Millwall fans for the transformation among your support; nobody can change the world overnight. It takes a long time to alter people's prejudices and I've seen so much progress during my 69 years. From one or two black players in the 50's, remember Charlie Williams of Doncaster Rovers who later became a well known comedian, through to the present where all of our football clubs now, mirroring the population of the UK, have an amazing mixture of races, religions, nationalities etc. Yet to the great majority of us fans, the only thing that matters is how they perform while wearing our shirt. The silent good majority of British people, of all colours, creeds and political beliefs must all do their utmost to change the minds of those who still want to cause problems with racist, sexist or religious remarks. All the best.
