He has to be positive. He is only here two games. He can hardly say, what the f*** did I join this club for when they are clearly going down. We all know he will probably be the first sold in the likely event that we go down. I am not deluded enough to think we have a good chance of staying up but......... If and it's a big if, we were to get a surprise win against Man United what would people think then??? Or if we went on a run and got 2/3 wins on the bounce?? We got five home wins on the spin under Hughes last year to save ourselves. This is sport so anything is possible.

Nines, I wouldn't worry about this stuff. Its purely for domestic consumption back in Russia. After all, Samba's gone, they might as well salvage some pride and figure they aren't likely to do any more business with us (and certainly won't be after this outburst). The reason its being reported here at all is that it fits into the media narrative 'QPR are the new Pompey' which means that any British news story about us has to include phrases like 'big spending', £100,000 a week', 'administration' and, of course, 'Portsmouth'. I'm not going to explain again why its all bullshit but it is!
