What is the point of the Rep thread on the Scouser's board? Why do people want and ask for Rep?

 

How come you can rep so much, I can only rep the same person about once every 6 months ?

I have lots of people that seem to rep me for my hilarious comments.. So I feel obliged to give it back. You'd get more if you were funny

It's meant to be there to show your appreciation of comments. It was funny when it used to be anonymous. I used to get the most random messages left by people. Still do just funnier when you don't know who's done it.. I get messages in German quite frequently from some of the lads an lasses on Geordie board. .

 

Rep is for queers and mongs.

It's only a fit.. They're not having a heart attack. Just have to make sure they don't hit their head on anything and that they don't swallow their tongue..

I watched someone ave an eppi once from an allergic reaction.. Her lips swelled up and face went up like a balloon that was funny.. Thankfully she had her eppi pen so someone have her a jab of adrenaline to the heart and stopped her dying.

So they can feel loved and convince themselves that people care about what they say.

They have a rep thread so they don't have to wander the streets asking random people for hugs.

I went to school with an epileptic. He had a fit once so we put him in the recovery position at the side of the classroom. He started murmuring something, so I leant down next to him cos I thought he was asking for something. He then came out of the fit, saw my face about six inches from his own, jumped back, smacked his head onthe wall and had another fit.

After that I decided to just leave him to it in future.

 

Just received a spam e-mail with the title "Want Cindy Crawford's Skin?"

Quite handy really, as I need a new suit...

 

There is no point.

As the rep system is designed to allow posters to recognise a post that they think is quality & vice versa. The sad donks who spend half their time on the site asking each other for rep, makes the entire system pointless, as it's not a reflection of anything they've actually posted. A classic example of this is your nemesis Astroturfnaut, who's post history is 90% rep whoring & yet has one of the highest 'reps' on the site.

So in summary, ****ing tragic.
