It seems like doom & gloom again after the 1-0 defeat away at Blackburn but it wasn't the fact that we lost to a team that is chasing a top 6 spot but more the fact that all the teams around us either won or drew. We must not let ourselves get distracted by the things that we have no influence over namely the form of the teams around us.

Good luck also to Jason Scotland who has found some terrific goal scoring form over the last 3 games for Barnsley. He left us as a free agent and Barnsley picked him up as a free agent so we had no say in where he chose to go eventhough it is just bloody typical that he has scored some important goals for them. At the age of 33 he was never going to be the future and all he would ever get is 20 minutes off the bench. I was annoyed when he was allowed to leave but we just have to get on with it and I'm sure Mick has his reasons for allowing Scotland to leave.

All we can do is concentrate on our own form and results and supporting Mick and the Team more now than ever! I enjoy all the knock-about stuff with Spanish and a few others but now is the time for us to unite and show support as the team fight against the drop.

Mick has done a truly amazing job since he took over at the beginning of November and there are only 3 teams above us in the form table since 1st November. Mick has pulled in 28 points out of a possible 54 in the time he has been here and although we are still in trouble I have every confidence that we will reach 54 points which to my reckoning will be enough to see us safe come the end of the season. There is still plenty of games to play and nothing is decided in February and I can't see other teams around us continuing to win every week.

This has been the toughest ever season as a supporter of Town and it will be one that I will not look back on with any fondness but I also believe that we will be safe come May. Keep the faith and trust in Mick <ok>

Its not doom and gloom because of that game but looking at the bigger picture we have reason to be concerned because we have had 1 player that has looked like scoring goals on a regular basis in the last 2 possibly 3 seasons and we, for some unknown reason decided to let him walk out of the club after his loan spell and didnt replace him.
Its simple really, goals win games and I dont see us getting lots of goals. Its a point you yourself have made.

I know I am just nitpicking but we have helped out those around us by either losing too or drawing with them so far this season, that said you can't win every game...

I think this "Doom and Gloom" as you put it, is because of our good run coming to an abrupt end. I have been very weary of throwing too much praise at MM although what he has done has been impressive in the short time he has been here but I think the past few results have been that dose of realism that some fans have been avoiding and have been looking at MM's arse expecting to find beaming sunshine.

McCarthy has never been anything BUT realistic at the huge task that he faces in keeping us up and that is one reason why I am so pleased that he is here! No Bullshit, no ****ing about, no empty promises but just plain unvarnished realism. <ok>
