Also if I am at the match I will write my report after the match giving my view on the players, join in the chat and have fun. Team News Gillingham have one player ruled out through injury and that is Danny Kedwell however Charlie Allen will be assessed and if he can't play then either Bradley Dack or Jake Hessenthaler will take him place in the 18 most likely to be Dack as Jake has only just been recalled from his loan after a good spell at Merstham. Past meetings We have only won 2 of our last 6 meetings against York however you have to go back to 1997 for an away win. 15 Feb 1997 York City v Gillingham W 2-3 League Division 2 30 Aug 1997 York City v Gillingham L 2-1 League Division 2 17 Jan 1998 Gillingham v York City D 0-0 League Division 2 15 Aug 1998 York City v Gillingham D 1-1 League Division 2 16 Jan 1999 Gillingham v York City W 3-1 League Division 2 26 Jan 2013 Gillingham v York City D 1-1 League Two Current league table AS of the 12.02.13 Gillingham sit 2nd in the league after 30 games with 58 points with Port Vale top on 60 points however they have played one more game than Gillingham. York City sit 18th in the league after 31 games and have 37 points. HOADIEâS View on this match I think with the record we have away from home we can win this, York are not playing great and lost 4-0 against Wycombe in their last game so I think a win for us is expected. The score line and scorers York city 0-2 Gillingham with Burton and McDonald getting the goals.
I will not be able to listen to the game tonight, however, if we get the 3 points then automatic promotion will take another big leap in the right direction. For the stats a couple of other fixtures worth keeping an eye on tonight, Southend v Cheltenham, could probably do with that game being a draw but either way one of them has to drop points. Still an outside threat from Rotherham, so hope Torquay take something against them. not forgetting Fleetwood at Oxford.
Here's something for the stat heads http://www.kickoff.co.uk/fixtures/?country=england&league=4&match_id=19054&re=1
I think the line up tonight will be this. Nelson Fish Legge Barrett Martin Whelpdale Frampton Robinson Weston Burton McDonald I think the one change is good as we seem to do better when at least a change is made and I would like Weston back in the team.
Supposed to be an unchanged side from the startign XI at Bradford according to the local rags up here
Charlie Allen must be fine then? I would still replace him with Weston however maybe it would be best to keep him on the bench and bring him on if and when needed and then I would start him on Saturday against Dag & Red.
http://www.gillinghamfootballclub.com/news/article/away-record-equalled-12-feb-652935.aspx Thought it only equaled the record, so it will be broken tonight.
Unchanged starting 11, one change on the bench which is Sam Muggleton is replaced by Bradley Dack. I think that is good, hopefully he will come on as a sub.
its the same commentator who did the gills game on saturday he is good - he actually comentates on the match .
I think the one who commentated on Saturday's match is not as good as he is a bit boring compared to Matt Cole. Anyway Cody was close but it is end to end with York holding most of the game 0-0.
