M'bia could not have gone as he has already played for us and OM this season and if I remember thats your lot in one season , so best he could have hoped for was a loan.

Mbia is one of many in our team with no quality, poor runs, can't pass and falls over

I think he is great with a decent attitude the problem is that he needs to fall over in the penalty area more, just like dozens of other prem players, seems to be par for the course these days. Don't like it but we just got to get used to it.

The only time I've seen him have a good game for us was when he played right back.

gave him a 6/10 after the spurs game on WATRBs and got crucified for it with people saying i knew nothing about football and he was a great player, qpr hero and deserved a 9/10 every game etc etc…. The only reason we need him is to break up attacks that his own loss of possession cause. Nice guy and lots of effort but my pencil has more technique, I cannot believe he's played in the champions league

He said in an interview in the match day programme that his favourite position was as a centre back. Perhaps, when we have nothing to lose, we should give him a chance to play there, especially as, according to the consensus on here, he seems to lack some of the technique required of a midfielder. We always seem to be playing our guys out of position, with the much vilified Park probably being the most obvious and repeated example.

He falls over too much and still have not forgot that stupid, stupid sending off at Arsenal which cost us at least a point. He can say what he wants but must also remember what a dick he was at Arsenal.

He's raw and naive but I can't help liking the bloke as his passion for the game in undeniable. I was kind of hoping that he would be one of the players we look to keep should we be relegated. His direct approach would work a treat in the Championship.

This this this this this! Thank you Nines!

That's his best (only?) position. Played great there at Old Trafford and has been fairly shi*ty in midfield ever since.

    Absolute bollocks Swords.
He's been great in midfield in the destroyer role.
His passing is absolutely **** though, and I can see why Marseilles had him at C/B.

How can you possibly say he's a good midfield player when in the same sentence you admit he can't pass for sh*t?

Any clown can be a nuisance to the opposition and harass and harry them (remember Mark Bircham?). But only someone who can pass the ball can be a decent midfielder, let alone a very good one.

You forget to take your pills today or summat?

Read it again Soccer boy ya fecking Eejit. I said he looks like a C/B to me.
He does his best work in midfield, as a man marker & he is very very good at that.
And I'm going to play the ' you have to be there ' card! <laugh>
