Some non-descript Chinese chicken tackle with rice, roll and side salad. Managed to walk past the fries with my head held high <laugh>

ManU need to stop Ronaldo, simple as that. If they can contain him (and Fergie should have as good an idea as anyone) then they can win.

Foooook off with your Simonsig party pooper antics <bitingnails>

Afternoon, team. ‘No bet’ banner out to day.

Mr Henderson, the forum’s favourite trainer, has stated that the discovery of filling in Grandouet’s near fore ‘does not jeopardise his participation or prospects’ re the 2013 Champion Hurdle. Furthermore he added ‘there is no damage to any bone, tendon or ligament and he is 100% sound.’

Grandouet is doubtful re Saturday’s Kingwell though, people. Fantastic that Mr Henderson has came out and addressed his people and as a result we all know the state of play. I’m sure I speak for everyone on the forum when I say ‘thank you, Mr Henderson for this update’.

Finally, it could be Cocktails At Dawn at Ascot on Saturday by the way.

After Newbury on Saturday I see that Mr Henderson’s My Tent or Yours (who will surely end up in the ‘Champion Hurdle’) has been raised 13 pounds to 162 and Silviano Conti for some reasons 3 pounds to 175! Are these marks fair???

We can assume that Grandouet won't be partaking in Thursday's Morebattle Hurdle then. A shame in my view, lovely racecourse which deserves a big name for its big race.

Or just go for the tricast!

Lunch - always the same - soup, cheese & crackers, yoghurt, orange, banana, apple. Boring but healthyish, and I do have different flavour soups (but mainly tomato <laugh>) I'm a steak and ale pie sort of bloke <ok>

Surely not when Mr McManus and Mr Henderson have the admirable Binocular in the race?

As neither horse is ever likely to run in a handicap again does it really matter?

For what it's worth, I think Silviniaco Coni's mark is fair, he had dispatched all comers with aplomb this season (including Long Run) and is a genuine Gold Cup contender. My Tent Or Yours at 162 is possibly a little on the high side. He finished 6 lengths in front of Swing Bowler (rated 134 but clearly improving) and 5 lengths in front of Cotton Mill (rated 145 but unexposed) so I would put MTOY's performance at maybe 155-158. I don't think Petit Robin ran to his mark so wouldn't want to rate the form through him.

Good stuff Oddy, that's fatherhood at it's finest <applause>. When you can get them to make you one you're laughing. I made one the other day but I was late for my train up to the toon so i whacked it in some tinfoil and stashed it away. Got some weird looks when I dug it out 3 hours later and tbf it wasn't great cold.

Nice one heis, looking forward to this now. well worth a quid or two for a laugh on a slow day like today. Good luck.

No worries mate, you still had to pick the right one. By my maths, that's 20-1 return on the e/w stake. Not too shabby for a Tuesday afternoon.
