Was the Q & A with Ash and I was just wondering if anyone on here went? I heard on twitter that he had strong words to say about NP and the way he left the club. Just looking for some conformation of what was said, cheers fellas.
Don't think anyone went, everyone is too busy trying to find out what happened to the johnny whiteley suite and trying their best to ensure the councillors waste the taxpayers money by looking into this crap all day. Big stuff going on
I was there and yes he did. Confirmed what most of us know about Nigel Pearson. Does not like to work with season pros(same at Lesta now) and NP just likes to work with boys.
As for the Hull FC pictures drivel. Just one question. Where is Adam Pearson at the moment ? apart from being in Leeds ? He can put this whole caper to bed sraight away, surely ???
To be fair its not just Ash that Nigel Pearson treats that way. Ash alsio said that he was forced out of Hull and did not put in a transfer request and also that Phil Brown forced Ashe to play for Preston against City @ the KC when Ash said that he did not want to play. Says it all really.
Ashbee's leaving tainted an otherwise perfect career. Joined the team in the fourth tier, captained the team for 3 promotions including the play-off final. How many lower league players achieve this ? Very, very few. And then gets binned indignantly. Shame on football.
He is the ONLY player ever anywhere to have done it. It will not happen again. Football is far too short term now.
Ash ran straight of the pitch as soon as the whistle blew, I remember it well. Must of been emotional for him, I ****ing love Ash.
I went along as well. I've met Ash a few times on random occassions, ie on nights out, and he's always seems down to earth and easy to chat to. Last night he spoke well of the club, the area and his ex team mates- apart from the odd bit of general mockery, ie Bo could be a bit soft. He even had good things to say about Parky and Taylor. He said he's trying to get his kid into supporting City. Seems to be doing well for himself selling watches and diamonds to footballers and other wealthy personel.
I meet him in Revolution last Easter Sunday, had a pic and a little chat. Came across as really genuine decent guy. I'm usually a bit nervous in approaching my idol's in chase they turn out to be arseholes and spoil my image of them.
