I just think we need two strikers of some sort up there, and i am not sure Prossy is the one however he might be worth a go without that midfield behind him. We are at home to so we need to take teh game to them. Also Bruce in for Macca is no the end of the world, although neither should be in the team, bring back Cooper.

I also think that Gedo is not quite yet ready for the start, a week or so more in training and he should be able to start the Charlton game on Saturday!

Why wouldn't you want macca in the team he's been the best cb this season, Chester needs to sort his head out though.
Stockdale Chester Macca Hobbs Elmo Koren Meyler Quinn Brady Gedo Proschwitz I think putting Meyler into more of a holding role you lose his box-to-box ability which is huge for us I believe, so I would be very reluctant to put him there. However, Koren despite poor performance after poor performance it's so hard to drop the man because of what he can and Bruce knows that so I know for a fact he won't be dropped, and I also expect Evans to come in for Bruce and that be the only change.
In this day and age, to play a 3 man midfield, those 3 players need to be versatile enough to cover each role. I have no doubt Meyler and Quinn could sit deep in the holding role whilst others bomb on, but I dont think Koren can. He needs to be played in a free role. Without question IMO it should be as near to the team that started @ Brighton. I think it will be. Hobbs for Bruce jnr (subject to fitness) would be my only change. I personally would sooner see koren drop back into midfield with meyler holding and Stewart up top with Simpson but it seems Bruce doesn't seem to rate Stewart and has chosen his preferred players. I guess without Stewart what option does he have? Proschwitz offers absolutely no pace or movement up front which is vital to the style were currently playing. With that said, I've a feeling prozzy was bought with a different playing style and formation in mind before we started to play 3-5-2 and had we got a proper left back fit and in good working order we may have seen a switch in formation and Proschwitz utilised in a system that actually suits him, maybe then he'd be performing to proper standards.
I'd be happy to see Simpson and Stewart start up tonight tonight, but I think the chances of that are just shy of zero.
I used to make exactly this point but Brighton has changed my mind. We had Evans, Meyler and Quinn as the midfield 3 in the second half and they just didn't have enough quality between them. Meyler has enough ability to play as a DM but if he plays further forward and the only proper footballer in the team is Quinn we just aren't good enough. Koren and Quinn need to be in there. Particularly as Koren looks completely lost up front. How do you know this?
