Ive just purchased a caravan and my wife has suggested that we could come to more home games as we will save money on hotels etc. Just wondered if anyone could recommend a good local site, thanks guys
Burton Constable near Sproatley's probably your best bet. There's also one at Woodmansey, but that's much smaller and less well equipped. I seem to think there's one at Barton too. http://burtonconstable.co.uk/Touring--and--Tents.php
There's lots, possibly best to stay to go to the coast and get a train to the game... http://www.ukcampsite.co.uk/sites/results.asp?county=East Yorkshire The last time I stayed in a caravan, it was at Kilnsea with some dodgy bird from Leeds over thirty years ago.
find a car park and just stay in there over night, its fee and no one should say owt.. park in Tescos or Asda.. just make sure you arent in it when they turn up for work 1st thing in the morning.
the sproatley one might do and you can go on the chris chilton heritage trail* while you're there. * gap in the market waiting for an entrepreneur!
At the church on the bend is a residential staric site, at the Hull side of the church is a track leading to the river and a turf cutters and also a small caravan site.
I forgot, there's two new ones on the road between Beverley and White Cross. Probably classed as Routh.
the one at Little Weighton is actually very nice, and in effect on the way in. a slight diversion up from Raywell. Also handy for York if you prefer.
Are you planning on keeping the 'van there? Most are seasonal (closed Sept-March roughly) so not much cop for the football season!
All caravan Parks will be full when the Gypsy's, Romanians, and Bulgarians move in at the end of the year
