Well Liverpool don't look too good going into our game with them! We should get a result in my view as the Scousers are not what they think they are!.........
one comment on the bbc sport website after loserpool got wooped by the baggies... "People keep saying Liverpool are a team in transition, not true, the transition is complete, they used to be good and now they're not."
I would prefer to rest our key players for the cup, but there is a weeks rest between the games, and it looks as if Laudrup will field a strong team, so here's hoping we get another memorable Anfield win!................. please log in to view this image
How can anyone say that any team in with a chance cant get 4th, we ourselves are in the mix and its so tight from 4th to just below us that its impossible to say which one of us will get that elusive 4th place. you cannot say that any of the clubs including Liverpool or Swansea definitely wont get it as your not mystic meg....4th place is well and truly up for grabs by any of the top sides...I would love to get it and to give us a better chance we must field our best side or all we are doing is handing 3 points to Brendan on a plate because we have no confidence of beating a league two side at wembley....
Listen Dai most posters on the 'Pool board are coming to the conclusion that 4th aint happening for them, we, who are above them, are 11 points behind the Spuds, presently in 4th .It would take a major meltdown of three teams ,Spuds the Toffees and the Gunners for us to get a sniff of the 4th spot let alone the 'Pool.
but tell me this is it impossible for anyone of us at the top including liverpool as it stands today that it is a bang on certainty that liverpool wont get 4th......Nobody can say that but you can say its a tall order and unlikely but its not impossible for any of the top half of the table to go on a good run and snatch 4th place. it not over by a long way its that close....
Liverpool have been consistently in consistent this season but thats not to say that they'll get a run going after Sunday, but for me and this isn't anti Liverpool I just feel that the existing top 6 won't change that dramatically ,Spurs are playing well (well Bale is) ,Everton improve each season ,Arsenal & Chelsea will be there abouts and Man U & Man City have little chance of falling out from their lofty positions ,I really can't see Liverpool being any better than those mentioned .
Liverpool will not finish 4th. They are not good enough at the moment. They are a work in progress. Whether they get where they want remains to be seen.
http://www.khaleejtimes.com/sport/i...onsports_February159.xml§ion=nationsports Mr Laudrup is confident so thats good enough for me
Dai has a point. Statistically, we can grab 4th. Unlikely, but it CAN happen. I'v changed my mind on this weekends game. Strong side out please. We need our Wembley boys sharp, so start that team. No point in not playing for two weeks, could make it harder for ourselves.
Why Liverpool are not going to finish anywhere near 4th is written starkly for all to see in this seasons results and statistics to date. Against the top half of the table 'Pool are 18th. Against the bottom half they are 3rd. Shame they can't play the likes of QPR every week, they'd be world champions. 'Pool are like a bully, they beat up on the weak teams, but **** and run away against the top teams. I doubt very much whether this exceptionally strong trend is going to be corrected over the rest of the season. Only a person who is blind, a fool, or praying for a resurrection to save his ass, would think that that 'Pool could finish 4th. Their form to date states that it is highly improbable .... my humble and inconsequential opinion notwithstanding.
Statistically, we can get 73 points which statistically might be enough to win the Premier League! Utter tripe, of course. We will get nowhere near fourth place and neither will Liverpool.
Well at least we have the luxury of seeing who they put out tommorow that should indicate their team for the weekend
On the contrary Aswan, our form against top and bottom halves of the table are much more respectable and consistent than 'Pools's. Actually we have a better record against the top half; which implies that if we stopped ****ing around with the bottom half we could manage a top 6 or perhaps even better finish. Against the top half we are ranked 7th, which is actually where we are in the table proper.
