Hearing rumours that Phil Brown has thrown his hat in to the ring for the newly available Pope job.

He's the early favourite with SkyBet.

Future Catholic memorabilia..........gone are the bones of a Saint welcome the Brown Brogues and the Pink sweaters

Mr Brown is doing a report on Inside Out on BBC1 Northwest tonight about what clubs can do to stop ex-players turning to a life of crime, and he's better at doing the reporting/interviewing than some of the regular sports reporters.

I think Brown and Duffman would be good heads of the R/C church. They could raise the gloabal footprint of God. Then maybe release a few press stories about a new figure joining the ranks, That is sure to blow your socks off. Before announcing a Bid for Ganesha.

On a serious note I think he may have got it!

I just heard on Telly that bookies reckon next one could be the first Brown Pope.

Let's hope Pope Phil's followers will be more devout and faithful than many of the two-faced ****s among our support.

Could just see Brownie the Pope giving his Cardinals a dressing down on the steps of the Vatican for underperforming, maybe reserving the bottom step as his naughty one

Is that a big problem?

It actually sounds like a spoof feature from 'The Day Today' or 'Brasseye'.
