I don't know about the thousands, but a number of English people living up here, including my girlfriend, have been subjected to some unbelievable stuff, hardcore racist stuff, really, except because it's white on white and generally culturally acceptable amongst the populace no-one does anything. There really are some bonkers people up here - during the jubilee and the Olympics things were really bad - people declaring Wales wasn't part of Britain and that they hate everything the Union Jack stands for. Some of the letters sent into my girlfriends work were quite alarming, and if you swapped the word 'British' or 'English' for, say, 'Muslim' or 'Indian', you'd have a race crime. But no-one cares.
Like I said on the last page, I've heard the same from a number of English people when they were in Wales - I just didn't want you lumping Ireland and Scotland in there too!! It really is peculiar sh*t Husky. I don't really know why that is. There's not been any violent conflict between England and Wales for Centuries (save a few English holiday homes being burned in the 80's!). If they want Independence all they have to do is vote for it. No need to carry on like that.
Well done England. You ground it out. Loss of Zebo and Sexton did not help. Errors crucified us and Ronan was not his usual self. Bad, bad weekend for me.......Cork, QPR and Ireland. Jaysus.....
A war of attrition, a very tough game. Ireland are a tough tough team to beat in Dublin. Applause to both teams for a good grinding game in bad conditions. As for the England song, they can sing ****ing Knees Up Mother Brown for all I care, all the same to me. 'Tis the game that counts!
Forgot to add.................really cheap shot that stamp on the ankle. Hopefully he won't take any further part in the 6 Nations when it's reviewed.
Your source in Dublin is winding you up! No different if they had of won. Rugby is a minority sport. The only people who would have been celebrating would be the rugby followers. If it was the Soccer team it might be different. A City of 1.3 million doesn't change on the whim of a rugby game!
Healy has now been cited for that stamp....just been on radio......Zebo also out for rest of championship with broken foot and likely to miss Munster Heineken Cup quarter final......
Was the broken foot the result of foul play, I can't recall mate? If so, then I hope the English player gets cited too.
Don't think so Col....just one of those things that happen...collision or accidental....that's what happens when you play in carpet slippers, should where proper boots!!!!!!
Absolutely mate. Footballers wear the same paper thin boots. Madness! Great match yesterday. Not a classic in an attacking way, but superb, intense, no quarter given top class rugby.
The conditions put pay to it being an attacking feast, it was a day for the forwards stuffing the ball up the shirt and grinding out a victory, not pretty but very effective.
Yeah, probably suited England better. Although we are trying to play a more attacking game, as things stand, your backs are better.
Yes COLIN, they'd be dancing in the streets.................... WARNING: Grossly overinflated sense of self importance incoming. Advised just to play along and pretend to person/people that their Countries sports teams are as important as they think. Illusion must be maintained at all costs. If bubble is burst, said person/people may have uncontrollable fits and spasms as reality takes hold. Syndrome is also common among Liverpool and Leeds football supporters. (He said as he braces himself! )
Did you see the length of the studs they were wearing yesterday? Enormous, we should donate some to Mbia, stop him falling on his arse all the time. PS don't turn this one into a fight lads, its about the only thread I can bear to read at the moment. All this crap about WUMs and the relentless doom and gloom (understandable, I know) are very easy for me to ignore. There ain't much else though.
