Real v Man U; Arsenal v Bayern

I think both English clubs will surprise us. In the end though I think Arsenal will go out but I full expect United to go through. If United keep it tight at the back they'll go through. This could also work in our favour as it means it's another step closer for Jose to coming home to the Bridge! I think Arsenal will go out but they'll give it their all like they did against AC Milan in that second leg... Should be good.

Real Madrid have lost to worse teams than Man U this season

 

bit different though, they've ****ed the league and the CL is their only chance of a major trophy.

 

The pressure at Real Madrid is unlike any other club, this is the ONLY thing keeping them going, if they lose this it's season over. The only way United were going to win (other than a lightning strike taking out the entire Real team) was if Real Madrid had another distraction. We got lucky as Barca had a crucial El Clasico in between our tie, we had Arsenal away but we pretty much rested our entire team bar Terry and Cahill. That may have made all the difference. Doesn't surprised me Barca and Real both started off like a house on fire in both 2nd legs but tired in the 2nd halves and never looked like scoring.

 

And United lost to Norwich...what's your point?

 

My point is that anyone can beat anyone even over a two-legged cup-tie and I think Real Madrid's record this season is worse than Man U. So i don't think the result is any sort of foregone conclusion. Bayern v Arsenal is much more clear cut but i wouldn't put my house on that one either - look what happened last time they came up against a poorer English side.....

 

Pressure can work both ways.....

no-one is expecting us to get anything there, i'll be happy if we got a draw there, if we win, we'll be favourites to go through to the quarter final of the champions league.
