I hope that our away support continues to grow like it has done this season. Visiting bigger stadiums next seasons means we can take massive support which was at times was restricted by the small stadiums of league 1. Games like West ham, Leeds, Reading, Forest( if their there) Leicester and Millwall, I hope we completely fill and get known for the best support in the Championship.
Oh yeah there's the Pompey away day too!!

Just to add, what teams in the championship have got those small old stadiums that we tended to struggle at? Not sure that there are any?

I think it's about ten. Bring your own straw bale to sit on.

Heard it's about 3000, not sure though.

Reading give us loads of tickets, bet we get a fair few for Brighton too.

Not to sound like an arrogant twat but I think that day will only come when Leeds get promoted.

Maybe I should have said one of the best supports in the championship. Leeds do have the best, but we can challenge you. <cheers>

That's surprising, half the stadium filled with away support.

Bet you're looking forward to a bit of it though eh? After all, Fratton is renowned throughout the land for it's special atmosphere-fact.
I think that's what irks so many of you. You just can't replicate it in you're plastic bowl can you? Even though there are more of you when it's occasionally full.

I have just read on the Portsmouth News site that a sports venue in Portsmouth built of wood and corrugated sheeting has been burned to the ground by arsonists.

    Honest I didn't do it!

There are far better grounds in the Championship than that sh*thole thanks. If you haven't done it already, you lot would sell your granny for a ground like ours.
How's yours coming along these days? Should be nice when it's finished.

Fratton Park must be the only old stadium in the country where its value as fuel for woodburning stoves exceeds its value as a sports venue.

The Pompey fans are well and truly hanging on to this idea of having a great atmosphere. Maybe one season in the prem their atmosphere was good but lately it is terrible. St Marys has a far better atmosphere

Does ringing a bell count as atmosphere? Seems more like a primary school music lesson to me.

    Exactly, they never sing.
I noticed this last year in the fa cup game all their fans sung was 'play up pompey' which is a chant
I'm not sure if pompey even have any songs??
