I don't know how other fans think about this but what really pisses me off is all the cloak and dagger stuff when players get injured. We pay our money FFS so just come out and tell us the truth how long players are gonna be out and what the true problem is?

Jesus Christ I am no fan of the egg chasing game but god do they get clattered and taken out and they just get up and get on with it. You don't see many of them out for weeks unless they are really injured. Are football players just pampered too much in the durability department, when you see how some of them roll around when tackled its really jacking me off big time.

Is it all necessary???? Are they injured or do fans think some of them could actually play???

And whilst I'm on one what is the problem of professional footballers having to play TWO games in a week??? Just don't understand it as it is their job, they train enough to be fit for games surely??

    Does my frigging head in!!!!

    Rant over

I suppose its to avoid other clubs knowing who will be available to play against them.

I can understand that mate but come on most opposing managers will bring their best 18 on the day so don't think it makes a lot of difference

Because rugby players are men, and footballers, well if they didn't have football they'd probably be sat on their arses all day thinking the world owes them a living. Oh wait they do anyway.....

Even BBC Sport picked up on Pearson's reluctance to explain Woods injury

Can't see what the big f@@@@@g secret is, if he's injured he is injured FFS

Agree Proud I ain't fussed either about the FA cup would swap for promotion any day but don't you think if we had serious promotion credentials we have got to start getting results at places we don't normally get a result, I too was not optimistic about getting anything from London Rd but how can we win 2-0 at home and now evidently have a better team and can't get anything from the game not even a point?

We're going to lose the odd game, as are all the teams around us. We were undefeated post Christmas. I love how the Pearson critics only pop up after a defeat. I heard a guy on the radio who slagged off Pearson. He admitted he last phoned in after the Millwall game to give Pearson grief then too. Obviously, all the wins in between don't matter - he must have been frustrated by the wait too! I know it's frustrating when we lose, but we have to take it on the chin and there's certainly no point in having a go at the only manager since Micky Adams to get us into the upper reaches of the league - and twice with two different squads! Yes, he can be stubborn and he will make mistakes (he's human) but he will also get more right than wrong.

Regarding the injury to Wood, I think Stringer asked him at the wrong time. He was obviously furious with the result and we all know Stringer isn't his favourite person anyway. Stringer's personality is great when we're winning, but annoying when we're losing (he remains chipper and full of himself!) - he even seemed to annoy Alan Young a bit on Saturday! I suppose as long as the BBC send Stringer to ask the questions, they'll get responses like that!

    <applause> Totally agree.

As I said on another thread, we struggled to win two games in a row last season (didn't we wait til like March to do so?), we had just won 5 on the bounce and are annoyed we didn't make it 6.

Nigel is doing a very good job, and I agree exactly with Gangsta, he's not perfect, nobody is, of course he has his flaws and will make mistakes, but right now he is doing a bloody good job for us!

<ok> alot better than last season, mainly due to the Wes-factor.

Problem with results comes expectation, i mean last year the expectation was to try and string 2 wins together, this year, because they have solved that problem, the expectation is promotion.

If we end up in the playoffs, this is still a successful season imo as i would have snapped your hand off if you had offered me this pre-season.

I agree with Gangsta, Jack and LeicesterWizard - we can't win every game and sides at the bottom are just as desperate for the npoints as we are, especially at this stage of the season.

Speculation will obviously be rife about Wood, given what has happened with Mills and Danns, but I'm certain that people are reading too much into it. We all know how Pearson operates - his cards surgically attached to his chest.

Wood is a very different character to Danns and Mills, he has a knock which Nigel is reluctant to discuss. I think people are reading into it more then what they should.

As long as he is fit for Charlton (Our next championship game) then that is all what matters

I tell you what lads you have all talked a lot of sense and have made me feel a whole lot better. I am not a Pearson critic, love the bloke but just passionate about Leicester and hate losing.

    Cheers lads!!!

If you have like for like replacements it doesn't make much difference, but if it affects the nature of your team it does. Using our squad last season as an example, we only had one centre back that was over 5'10" (and that one being Hobbs). If I'd been an opposing manager, even if I normally played a very on the floor passing game if I knew Hobbs was going to be unavailable for us I'd have been preparing in training to play the game with a couple of big lads up front and an attacking midfielder looking for knock downs, where with him available I might have looked to play two nippy little guys and wingers to get in behind the defence. Looking at the back end of last season when Hobbs was injured, we did concede most of our goals like that (or to big men at set pieces).

The most comical example for me of a team revealing injury information though was Huddersfield a few years ago. They announced in their weekly physio update on their website that Matt Glennon (their keeper at the time) had a back injury that was affecting his ability to throw the ball out in training because he got a sharp pain whenever he lifted his arms above his shoulders. Inevitably every shot that weekend was high on the goal.

There's also the fact they might not "want" to explain it because they don't actually know the extent of it yet.
