That's what I want, but can't see it to be honest, is it too much of a risk to play 2 unknown players?
Could be right. Three consective home games, plus Lessta not playing in the league gives the opportunity to try it out, at least for one game. I suspect Fahti will do far far better than Evans would.
Stockdale Hobbs Faye Chester Elmo Koren Meyler Quinn Brady Gedo Simpson SUBS Jak Rosenior McShane Fathi Cairney Stewart Proschwitz
I agree Evans give the daft free kick away which led to the goal, Bruce seems unsure of him and i think if he thinks Fathi's fit enough he will come into the midfield. Has for the forwards he must be scratching his head what to do, Gedo( again if fit enough) but i have the feeling he will stick with Koren and Simpson Surely one day this season a forward will score
The team I would go for, although I know I won't see is: Stockdale Elmo Chester Hobbs Rosenior Koren Quinn Fathi Brady Gedo Proschwitz For those who keep doubting Prozzy, how is the guy supposed to come up to speed by getting 15 sub appearances of between 10 and 20 minutes (especially when sitting watching Simpson play bollocks every game and get a good bite at it). Simply impossible. The goals he has scored have been class so there's definitely something there, imo of course.
----------Stockdale ---Chester, Hobbs, Mcshane(if faye can't) --Elmo, Fathi, Quinn, Brady ---------- Meyler ---- Gedo Proschwitz
Hopefully Faye will be back for aerial presence and a threat from set pieces. I'd be really frustrated if Simpson starts again because we're not a goal threat with him on the field anymore. He plays too deep. Gedo and Proschwitz up front, rest of team unchanged.
Based on Brucey's comments, I don't think there's much chance of us seeing Gedo or Fathi in a starting line up any time soon.
Why are people opting for meyler as the playmaker/attacking mid? May aswell stick Alex Bruce up there as the center forward and drop koren to centerback while your at it...
-----------Stockdale Chester - Hobbs - Mcshane Elmo - Evans - Quinn - Brady ---------- Meyler --- Koren Simpson i reckon both the new Egyptians may be early 2nd half subs though.
Corry Evans form is very puzzling - he has games where he challanges for MoM and then goes missing or looks poor in others... ofcopurse its a long long season and winter isn't behind us quiite yet. Maybe our high energy tempo is beginning to tell on us or the fact that turning dominance into goals is beginning to affect our form in other areas now. A new face up front is becoming a top priority. Boyd isn't the striker we're seeking but he's a good player and will inject new blood into the remaining matches if nothing else...
