Didn't say they were purely partisan, but they'd be as partisan as Utd fans putting Rooney in terms of getting similar levels of goals and assists (approx 20 each), and the fact that Liverpool fans would say Suarez, Chelsea would say Mata and Utd would say Rooney. The only objective difference, as you say, is that Mata and Suarez have had to carry their teams, whilst Rooney has been playing with better players. Wasn't sure at which point your list became a piss take...much like most of your posts And your dad may be bigger, but my dad could batter your dad Not really - Liverpool fans couldn't really ignore RVP any more than Barca fans could ignore Ronaldo in a top ten list. I was referring to the fact that every Liverpool fan included Suarez without question, when some ignored better players playing at a higher level like Falcao, Schweinsteiger, Cavani, Ibra etc. Tho' to be fair that may just be a lack of knowledge about football outside England.
Yeah, I worded it wrong. Realised that after. Dunno about playing with better players, I'd say our starting 11 is as good as yours, difference is you have world class strikers and we don't! Not mentioning the fact we have a new manager every few months and your side has been built gradually.
If you were to have RVP, Suarez or even Michu in your team then you'd stand a better chance than City IMO. If you get Falcao in the summer then you'll be much stronger to challenge for the title. If you get Falcao, I think you'll be more of a threat to United than City will. Oh and you can't have Suarez btw
I agree, but unfortunately I can see that **** Torres staying and playing more games than anyone who comes in.
1. Messi 2. Ronaldo 3. Iniesta 4. Xavi 5. Ibra 6. Suarez 7. Falcoa 8. Cavani 9. Ramos 10. Schweinsteiger In that order, based on just this season.
Well give us another £50M and we might be able to come to some agreement where we can take him off your hands, for free of course
I've changed my list based on the last ten minutes. Welbeck Anderson (in goal) Cleverley Any other 7 In that ****ing order.
Thanks United fans, bringing your petty little arguments into this thread. I made it in the mind that we could discuss the top players in Europe, perhaps discussing why one player might be placed in the list over the other which I was fine with the Rooney comments, but your close mindedness has led to another ****ing ruined thread. So heres a proposition for you... if you don't know how to discuss or debate then you stay the **** off this board. None of us have the time to put up with your butthurt because we believe Rooney isn't as good as you say he is.
Perhaps playing with better attackers would be more appropriate I think your problem this season is similar to City's - you have a good starting XI, but as soon as you have injuries or players are off form performance drops off sharply cos there simply aren't good enough backups. Who would replace Ramirez, Mata, Hazard, Cole etc if they were injured or off form? We may not have an outstanding first XI, but we can replace pretty much any of our players without a significant drop off in the quality of the team. RVP is the only one who would be impossible to fully replace, but even then we still have plenty of goals in the team.
That's because this, in bold; is complete fabrication. Made up bullshit. In actual fact, what I was doing was offering my opinion as to why I think Zlatan is over rated and why I think Rooney should be in it. Which is the purpose of the thread, is it not? You've just said as much. What Lucas saw was "United fan disagrees with Liverpool fan on Liverpool board, must defend Liverpool fan, must defend Liverpool fan" while at the same time adding ZERO to the actual discussion.
I think it may just be a premier league bias in general (best league in the world etc). I do think its harsh to say people like Cavani are definitely playing at a higher level than Suarez though. That ignores the fact that when Uruguay play Suarez is the main man and he has generally been much better than Cavani everytime they've played. Yes, Cavani has a better goals to game ratio this season (and previous seasons) domestically but that ignores the fact that Napoli in Serie A are a much stronger team than Liverpool are in the premier league. The same with Atletico Madrid (Falcao) in La Liga & PSG (Ibrahimovic) in France. And it could also be a case of people only really watching big champions league ties involving some of these players so when they have an off day or just can't influence a game in the way they'd hope.
Yeah right. Cos anyone not associated with Liverpool or focused on the PL would rate him ahead of Messi, Ronaldo, RVP, Falcao, Cavani, Ibra, Xavi, Iniesta, Lewandowski, Neymar or any other player who regularly makes the difference for top teams at the top level. But ok, I'll take it all back if you can name a single big game Liverpool have played this year where Suarez has led you to victory. Scoring a hat trick against Norwich or getting the final goal against Fulham doesn't count
