    Come on Ireland.

The scrum will decide the match to me.

Last year at Twickers, England made mincemeat out of the Irish scrum and thumped us.

If Ireland don't address that this year, England will win again. Thats the way I see it, hope I'm wrong.

Ciarrai, come on the Dubs tomorrow. Cluxton free in the last minute again? Could go either way.

Its teaming down here. That might suit England a bit more. In conditions like this its going to be scrappy.

Wouldn't be surprised if this ended in a low score draw.

Not the best of games but both sides gave it everything. The conditions were awful and it was a scrappy game. England showed the greater composure and have more than earned their win. Well done.

Scrappy game in awful conditions. Well done England. <ok> Showed good discipline and held the line well. The Slam is on for them.

The Championship is still not out of the question for Ireland though.

We're playing for second place Swords. That England team has been growing and progressing for the last few years.
They showed great composure today. We actually did not play that badly. We mauled well, did well at the line out and overall broke even against the worlds best scrum. Simple handling errors in the first half killed our momentum. Both defences were brilliant and neither side ever looked capable of breaching the other.
England started afresh a few years ago and are building a young team. We are in transition and have a team mixed with exciting young players and several players on their last legs. Me thinks that will give England a significant advantage in the next World Cup. Their team will be further down the development line than ours.

I thought it was clear that England were the better team and well deserved their win.

Their physicality was far greater than Ireland's.

    Well done England.

At least the Dubs won by 10 points in Killarney. Ciarrai, I await your match report!

Not a classic but both sides gave it everything and England just seemed to have a bit more at the vital times, particularly when a man down to the sin-bin, taking 6-3 in that ten minute spell was the telling part of the match. France up next and they'll still be a danger. Notoriously unpredictable when they hit a poor run but at HQ I'd love to see England give them a good thrashing as there would then be a real prospect of them taking the wooden spoon...

Really tense game, mostly a steady performance by England, some good rucking and mauling by Ireland. it was never going to be open given the conditions. Both teams deserve credit in those circumstances - I couldn't take my eyes off it.

Ireland could still win the Championship - I have a feeling the French will come alive against England at Twickenham...
