other results are immaterial when we're incapable of helping ourselves. Villa have got forwards capable of scoring goals so I don't see them going down. Still cursing the fact we've had the transfer window and still the only fit striker we're left with is Bothroyd. How was that ever allowed to happen?
simonstainrod: agree we should have bought a 2nd striker and a holding midfield player, a whole month and we didn't, someones head should roll for that.
Spent too much time trying to land those 'fantasy players' that never wanted to come. Said at the time we should have got in a Championship striker that was hungry.

West Ham were unbelievably awful. Carroll was like bambi on ice and kept passing to Villa players. What a waste of money!! Many people were salivating over Diame in the transfer window, but I have to say that he's possibly the worst player I've ever seen in my life! (And we made West Ham look good....says it all!)
