Looking at them bar possibly Spurs away I can see us picking up points in any of them if we continue to play the way we did yesterday. I'm going to say we will pick up around 15 though giving us a total of 42.

Am I being unrealistic? GMI would probably say 5 points!

Looking at the league table, we're now closer to being in the top half than we are being in the relegation zone

Honestly dont think that a top half finish is beyond us.

 

We could potentially pick up 9 points or even 10 or 12 in March. I can see us beating QPR and Liverpool and we have a decent chance of beating both Norwich and Chelsea if we keep up our performances. And April as well we could pick up a fair few points. I am going to stick my neck out and predict we will be safe by the end of April.

 

Trying to be realistic (even harsh), I can easily see 13 points making 40 points. Could be higher.

 

After yesterday I can't see us losing more than a couple more games, as long as we don't have a huge crop of injuries.

 

Newcastle on the 24th is a Sunday 1.30 kick off...is this game on sky?

 

Not that I am aware of.

They have a Europa League game the previously Thursday (good for us!), hence cannot play on the Saturday.

For quite a while now, I'd been thinking that our bid for survival would start on March 2nd. Actually, it's turns out it started yesterday.

One win down, three more (maybe, maybe four - but unlikely) to go.

(I would hope that we'd pick up enough draws to not require a fourth win, although clearly it would be good to win at least more than three more matches).

 

I hope you're right, I put a tenner on us to finish in the top 10 at 6/1 before the season started...

Optimistic I know, but after winning an each-way bet on us being champions last season I thought I'd reinvest some of that in another optimistic bet!

 

If you bet each-way on finishing in the top half, do you still win if we finish in the bottom half?
