I hope we play a full reserve team tommorow, now that were guaranteed at least a 9 point lead regardless of what happens tommorow
I think he will start with RVP.. he is fresh after all .. and he will balance the effect of missing the talents who will be rested
indeed .. we need now the 3 point more than at any point.. 12 points ahead .. City will almost give up
After last season's disaster, I would only be confident when we are 10 points ahead with 3 matches to play ! So 12 points gap is what we need tomorrow I would be surprised if SAF rested both RVP and Rooney.
Whilst I hope we win the league the European cup is the trophy that needs to take priority, we have already knocked the scum off there perch in terms of league titles, so I'd much prefer us to win the Euro cup. We have at least a 9 point gap regardless, so it is worth the risk playing a 2nd string. As it happens I feel Citeh are so ****, that it really doesn't matter what risks we take in the running, they just aren't going to catch us. If you offered me the choice of a win against Everton or a win against Real id choose a win against Real all day long. I truly believe that Barcelona aside we are the strongest side in the CL, and have a very good chance of winning it. The fact the bookie's make Real Favs to progess is laughable, when were home and hosed in our league yet there miles behind Barcelona and even Atletico Madrid in there league. I watched there games against Dortmund, and Dortmund ripped them apart with ease, and RM were even lucky to escape with a draw in the home leg. RM are an average side that's just full of hyped up expensive big names, that haven't done **** all in Europe for the past 10 years+ Others than beat Spurs. But as far as form is concerned we are miles clear of them. I will be getting heavily involved in the 6/4 about us to progress to the next round
I'm looking forwards to this, I feel if Moyes shows the sort of attacking mindset he did at Old Trafford last year then we could pull something off (and by god we need too). You're, obviously not that excited given your upcoming fixtures and the fact the title all but won. I hope it's a good game and there's no dodgy decisions involved (either way). So enjoy the match lads, hope it's a good one as we've had a few crackers recently! Remember that time you beat us 4-3 at Goodison. Saha () scored twice to set you a 3-0 half time lead and we pulled it back to 3-3 before RVN scored in injury time winner (bastards). Thats probably my first proper memory of this fixture so I was happy to get revenge last year for it! I hope we win tomorrow but I can't see it having to many consequences on your league campaign even if you don't win (and you probably will win).
Regardless of tommorows result I really hope you guys get in the top 4, even though your kind of a local rival, I really don't mind Everton as a club. I much prefer you guys to the dippers, £havski or Le arse. It's not going to be easy for you guys granted, but if you can keep your best players fit then you have a chance of sneaking in
I don't really agree that nine points should be enough, yet, nor that Wednesday's game is the priority. The league is the priority and we've got an opportunity to go 12 points clear and should try to take it before thinking about Real. Go twelve ahead and THEN we can start mixing the team up, ahead of the second leg for instance. Today one of Rooney or RVP must start, maybe not both but definitely one. He can't throw both Giggs and Scholes in either, Everton would give us the run around if he does.
The domestic league must remain the priority. United have to regain the title they abjectly surrendered last season. Everything else is a bonus. Targeting the champions league as your priority is putting all your eggs in a flimsy basket. Anything can happen. One dodgy decision, one mistake, your MVP has a cold etc and you are out. Take care of business at home first then you look at that abroad
Excited.. A day of sport roasted things and beer. Beat the paddys beat the toffees then hopefully win 10 pints in the pub quiz.
Im just going to try and avoid writing anything about the title race that could be used as part of someone's signature if we lose. We just need to focus on ourselves, the target is 90 points and we're not there yet. That said this will be a very tough game, Everton are having a good season and i'd probably take a draw.
