    My to-buy list consists of:

    A new PC gaming rig
A renewal of my iRacing subscription
A G27 or whatever the latest steering wheel is for the PC
    Flight Simulator, with the joystick
GTA V when it comes out, which I believe is in September

As you can see, it is very pricey...

Is that MS Flight Simulator? I remember play a super old one back in the mid 90s, good times. And Combat Flight Simulator was good.

I'd also like to try as many milkshakes at Shake Away as possible.

And go to the cinema and see lots of films. The number of films I've wanted to see at the cinema but never got around to it. Not that there's much going at the moment. Might be interested in seeing Lincoln and possibly Les Mis again. And that Beautiful Creatures, despite probably just being another version of Twilight, looks kinda interesting from the trailer.

Despite acting frugal, I'm a spendthrift at heart....

If anyone wants a still cracking military flight simulator, then look no further than DID's vintage F22 Air Dominance Fighter. Developed for the Windows 98 era, only the very best machines could run it, but today anything can in compatibility mode. It still has superb flight characteristics and the sound and graphics are good enough for the simulation to remain great fun. It's at its very best when you link computers, either physically or wirelessly [yes back in 1997 you could do it with this simulator] and play against each other. OK, it's nowhere near today's games for graphics realism, but you won't find better fun in a plane. So much better than the equivalent from Microsoft, at the time, and I had both. I still have my DID CD though.

Talking of combat flight games, anyone remember this game on the MSN Gaming Zone which was an MMO flight simulator game set in WW2, you could play as the British, Germans, US, Russians and Japanese and essentially the map would be divided into different sectors, I think each one would have an airport, and of course the aim was the capture the territory of the other nations but that would be done by ground forces (tanks basically) and you wouldn't control them (as you were an aircraft pilot) but you could help facilitate the capture or defense of a particular territory by fighting the opposition and destroying their ground forces and attacking their airfields. As well as fighter planes, you could fly bombers. It was quite fun, anyone know the game I mean?

Ever play the Red Baron series? Red Baron II was a remarkable game in its time...graphically quite good, and the way they incorporated the physics given the limitations of late-90s computing was tremendous. There isn't a title out there whose sequel I'd snap up faster, were one forthcoming.

Has anyone else seen this? It's strange and quite worrying how distorted our minds can become because of our preconceived notions of a particular subject, I bet newspapers and political campaign managers are loving the findings from this.

In Skyrim, which would be a better school of magic to focus on for a Ranger type character? Conjuration, Illusion or Alteration?

Not going to start a new thread on this old topic [well you can Lamb, if you read this], but I've read elsewhere that if you go on the St Mary's tour and ask about stadium expansion, they will say that if Saints stay up this season and consolidate/progress next season, then the plans for the stadium capacity to be increased to 58,000 will be executed. The actual stated ambitions are to make the club one of the established top 4 in the country, and hence Champions League.

Now I don't know the absolute validity of this, but it seems to me that if you want the statement verified then the best thing to do is go on a stadium tour and ask the questions.

Was told they want to expand the stadium to 40k but leave enough room to add more seats that will total 52k.

Every time I start a new game on Civ I promise myself I won't be a military force but alas I always get bored and go to war. It's the damn power of the Navy I love controlling the seas.

I think this is more likely to be honest, I'm not sure we'll be able to pull in more than 40k for a good 10 or so years.

Yes, I know. I'd heard about 52K, several times, but this was definitely 58K. Perhaps the person misheard..?

Ah. This person heard it on the tour. Hmm, never done the tour myself. Perhaps it's time has come. :)

Yay, finally made it to level 15 in Skyrim. I've decided to not focus on Illusion as it's not very ranger-y and Conjuration is relatively difficult to level up so gonna focus on Alteration, which is also kinda ranger-y.

Well I got around to starting a new save yesterday and decided to make my character a High Elf, which gets a head start on all the schools of magic. I've just managed to complete the first quest to retrieve the golden claw from that tomb, and I got through it mainly relying on Illusion (Fury, Clairvoyance) and Conjuration (Raise Zombie). So basically keeping my distance, and using Fury and Raise Zombie to make them kill each other. It's also important to get good at Sneak to make this work, and you will need some sort of plan of action if your enemies spot you - I tend you use Oakflesh and then run around hitting them with Destruction magic. Basically it makes sense to work on all the schools of magic.
