By my reckoning Marko Marin's goal yesterday was our 100th in all competitions! With 13 PL games left, the FA Cup and the Euro plastic cup to come there must be an outside chance we could rack up our highest ever number of competitive goals in a season. Not bad considering we didn't have a single striker until a couple of weeks ago! Does anyone know what the target number is?
Lucky--Its great to win prizes and we've seen a few over the years! I think in all the years I've watched the Blues it took 11 seasons before I saw them win anything (sorry-Plastic Cup in 65 was the first). I'm confident we'll land something before its all over! My point is, in the years we didn't win anything I used to console myself with other achievements , like goal scoring records etc!
yes i see your point, other than the zenith delta cup i waited over 25 years to see us lift a trophy but i suppose i have been spoilt now and find failure in competitions a lot harder to take. But i do remember the old days though when i was happy for chelsea to just win a game and avoid a relegation battle!! and to beat man u liverpool or arsenal made my season
