I didn't expect anything away to Swansea. I don't expect a fat lot against Utd, unless Alex starts focussing on Europe as they are so far ahead. But March is a different matter. Southampton, Sunderland, Villa -then two games in April v Fulham and Wigan. That will define our season. We have to score 10 points minimum, that way home wins against Stoke and Newcastle might give us a squeak. I'm keeping the faith. For now......
Imo our season was defined by the penalty miss against Norwich, for me if we win that game anything is possible, but that miss summed our season up.
When I did the predictor, I had us down for a loss against the swans and utd and we still stayed up. The problem is, we are playing so poorly that I can't see us scoring the goals we need to stay up. I still have hope, but I can't see it happening.
I know what you mean Col. I just refuse to believe that we won't turn the corner a little and make things interesting somehow. I know how Wolves fans felt last year now.......
No Norty beware of the 'enemy within', we have posters that are on a 'right downer' at the moment (unlike us)
I'm on a 'right downer' ellers. And asking questions like : Why the **** did Swansea want it more than us yesterday? I don't mind losing, used to it, I'm QPR after all. It's the way you lose that counts.
Someone mentioned it before but if you do the BBC predictor then you can see we really do still have a chance, Swansea away with how they've played all season was always likely to be a write off, as is utd at home(although we could squeeze a 0-0), it's the games after that when our chance comes, we have an easier run in and with Remy fit and BZ on his way back there is every chance we can go on a decent run! Its a massive task and being adrift after the utd game with 11 to go isn't ideal but there will be 33 points to play for still, it's way too early to write us off!!
Swansea didn't want it more, they just played with the confidence of a team in a cup final next week, we played like a team stuck at the bottom of the table!
We let them play , even the Swansea fans can't believe the space we gave them. Not for the first time this season a QPR team got outworked. So yes IMHO "they wanted it more".
I probably wouldn't have bothered replying if I'd read this post first. Never mind away to Swansea, someone's away with the fairies!
Good point Rolling I think what hurts the most is that everyone on here expected us to get at least 3 points from the last two games and 1 or even 2 points is such a put down.
I'm not saying I would put my house on us staying up, but the fact is we are only 4 points worse off then this time last season and our run in is probably easier, there is still every chance of us turning it around!
You keep telling yourself that, lets not fall out about it. 19 goals & 2 wins from 26 matches, and we're suddenly going to start now are we? Not IMO, we're going get what we deserve.
Agree Col. My predictor also has us as losses for yesterday and against Man U but it did assume we had left behind the abject displays of the Hughes era.
really can't see how we can get out of this mess but really hope we can, just got to face facts just not good enough go down & re-group.
