Yesterday was a very good performance for 88 minutes- MOM was Butland who kept Bimingham in the game. towards the end I thought we'd pay for it and Birmingham would snatch a winner which they should have done when I think it was Caldwell sent a free header straight at Hamer. Now that I've calmed down a bit I think 2 of the Doctor's substitutions were good. Green for Wilson you couldn't argue with and BWP for Fuller nearly gave us a goal which would have clinched it. It was Dervite for Waggy which worked against us. So 2 out of 3 isn't too bad really.

    I definitley would.

In fact I think I could quite easily think of a valid 'Powell Out' point for every point that he won last season.

But it would obviously be madness to remove him and detrimental in the short term.

In the summer time the Club seriously needs to address the coaching structure as a priority - we need to find someone who can compliment Powell's inadequacies (a Peter Taylor to Powell's Clough)

And it musn't be Alan Curbishley.

still annoyed by this result. 2 minutes is all we had to hold on to and we'd be comfortably in the top half of the table and not looking at the 6 small points between us and relegation.

too many times this has happened now. we're definitely good enough for the playoffs - where we should probably be.

The U18's seem to have a tactician, Hart and Avory seem to coach the players while on the pitch while quite a studious guy seems to discuss tactics and talks to subs before they come on to give them their instructions.

As you can see from the number of ..seems.... above I'm not sure that I know what I'm talking about

Looking at the overall job, he has been magnificent for us. Can't argue there some weaknesses there, but the good outweighs the bad. Massively do.

OK, another two points thrown away but let's be fair, trying to play football on a pitch looking like it has been used by a herd of Tesco's finest is asking a lot of a team who like to pass the ball. Did anyone notice the great Kermogant , possibly the best footballer I have seenn for many years in a Charlton shirt, at the end of the game? He looked so down and fed up, can't say I blame hime, after another home win thrown away!!

It was noticeable that larger parts of the north upper stayed behind at the end to applaud Yann off the field, They were gutted but they recognised that it had meant a lot to him as well.

Hamer 6.5 - had very little to do all game, but dealt with the few shots they had comfortably.

Solly 8 - was great both in defense and attack. His cross for Kermits goal was class, and his tackle in our box in the first half was one of the best I've ever seen!

    Cort 6.5 - solid.

Morrison 6.5 - solid, minus one or two dodgy headers.

Evina 6 - attacked well and made a few good challenges, but his inability to stop wingers getting crosses in will cost us soon.

Wilson 5 - struggled on the wing with the state of our pitch, but made a number of errors which only he is to blame for. Linked very well with Solly.

Stephens 7 - had a great game minus one odd moment where he turned the ball in an attacking position, ran it into our own half then lost it (the ref was generous to then give us a free kick for it). Won a number of very good sliding challenges.

Jackson 7 - pretty decent game. nothing spectacular but linked well with those around him. Much improved in recent games.

Wagstaff 7.5 - didn't stop running all game and got into some great positions. In all honesty though, regardless of what you say about Butland, Waggy's finishing was poor yesterday.

Fuller 9 - I'm probably his biggest critic, but I couldn't fault him yesterday (aside from one or two misplaced passes). Made their defense fall-over themselves and was a constant threat.

Kermorgant 8 - again he was a beast for us. Probably relieved that the side avoided hoofing it to him all game too. His reaction after the game showed us how much this club means to him. But I truly hope he doesn't get fed up of this.
