Our season now hangs on the Boro match on Tuesday in my opinion. A draw is the very minimum we require just to keep that five point gap but if we lose I can't see any way we would make up 8 points. I just can't see us going on a 3/4 match winning run.

Of course, but people also forget there are a half dozen teams between us and boro. They won't all continue to lose. One of them will go on a run and that will be the end of us. We need a minimum of 33 points from 16 games. Not even the most deluded fan could honestly believe our current lot are capable of that

Exactly and we would need to do more than that for promotion. Even if we did Watford, Palace and Hull are playing far better footie than us.

THE ONLY saving grace for us is the run in, we have two very hard away games in March away to Leicester and Palace in the same week, after that it doesn't look too bad and notice the 4 home matches in April:

    Leeds United v Peterborough
    Leeds United v Huddersfield
    Ipswich v Leeds United

    April:
    Leeds v Derby
    Charlton v Leeds United
    Leeds United v Sheff Wed
    Leeds United v Burnley
    Birmingham v Leeds United
    Leeds United v Brighton

    May:
    Watford v Leeds United

Leeds of two seasons back and I would have hoped for 21/22 points from those fixtures above..

As it stands that's a nice list of teams that are at least as good as us. Couldn't predict one result

You would wonder most about the Watford game - The scenarios are plenty with that one... Watford already promoted and don't need to worry about the result and play a relaxed game and stuff us or too relaxed and get beat?? They need to win for an auto spot so would they rise to the occasion or buckle?? Probably the best scenario for us they are secured third spot can finish no higher or lower and they decide to rest players for the play off's.

Anyway getting ahead of myself here, I am pretty sure the game will be a non event for us as mid table nothingness will once again be secured.

Exactly but warnock will say if he had this fantastic squad from the season start, we would have won auto promotion. Plebs like Becchio holding us back for first half of the season, being greedy, scoring 19 goals and not letting his team mates have a chance

I know our defensive record is terrible but this season, everytime I have actually seen them play the defence looks very good. They look calm and in control, and then make a silly mistake and concede a goal. And it seems like that for practically every single goal we concede.

So in that case I'm not sure how much blame is deserved for the defence. I think it is more down to our inability to keep possession further up the pitch. No defence in the world will hold out for the whole game every game

Yea I know but for the most part of the game, the defence normally looks quite strong. I just think our main problem at the moment is keeping possession, of course the defence can improve I just wouldn't prioritise it
