That little **** kmew what he was doing I could see it in his face!!!! he's a little ****.

Also we as a club need to get much better at getting players sent off or we will always be bottom half!!!! we need to react to challenges and surround the ref etc and fast. We also need to work on diving in the area and elsewhere.

Nah he went in hard, got the ball but caught him on the follow through. Just run of the mill footballing challenge. Cabayes was slightly worse as very late but again it was genuine. People are going soft with all these reds that are claimed.

We don't lile other teams doing it, so why should we resort to their tactics and do it ourselves?

I have no problem with delving into the dark arts a little and if we get a few advantages fine. But post game there is little point screaming for it.

They got away with a few nasty tackles, but for me the walker tackle wAs fair and if it was the other way around we would be defending it.
    Cabaye tackle was worse

I agree. While I don't like Walker's style of always niggling, shirt-pulling, obstructing, etc. I don't think that challenge was anything other than unfortunate. Cabaye's was reckless, dangerous, borne out of frustration and could easily have resulted in a red card.

No, I don't want to join the cheats. If we regularly won games because of players blatantly diving to win penalties or get other players sent off, then I'd go off football altogether. Those 'victories' would feel hollow. Like Lance Armstrong looking back at bring the 'greatest' in his sport.

I'd rather we lose a few games than cheat our way to victory. What FIFA etc have to do is help stamp out this behaviour, rather than encourage more to follow it. Lengthy bans & ultimately points deductions for repeat offenders would be better.

Aah but Lance was just doing what that whole era did and is now the scapegoat for them all. Outside of Wiggins I'm not sure there has ever been a clean winner of the Tour, bar maybe Greg LeMond, Hinault, Fignon. Even then it is difficult to know for sure. Certainly it'll be interesting to see if Evans name crops up in this Austrailian furore.

I don't believe the likes of Indurain were clean regardless what people try to print about his superhuman physical capability. They told us the same about Lance! We know the likes of Merckx, Thevenet weren't clean. Basically up until recent efforts to clean it up, I don't believe you can single out anyone from just about any era. Cycling and drugs have just gone hand in hand. You'd have to basically wipe the whole record book clean and start again. Therefore I think its better to just look at the records as pre drugs banning and post drugs banning.

I don't like diving or kicking teams out of games but don't mind bending the rules a little................

My point is, is it right to encourage everyone to cheat because that is the route to success, or to stamp it out?

    I prefer the latter.

Stamp out the blatant cheating for me, the diving etc. Is it realistic? Probably not. Unfortunately the English fans mentality with regards to it is not replicated around the world. We are pretty alone on this front. South Americans teach it in their coaching which probably tells you how far away utopia is.

Our own players now see it as an avenue more and more (there has always been diving though). I suppose the focus on diving and blatant deceiving of referees (play acting) has exploded with the cameras now monitoring a game. Personally I believe it has got slightly worse but generally, is just more exposed. Hopefully technology will push us more towards a cleaner game with regards to cheating.

The question is how far do you go? Do we then focus on unsporting behaviour? For instance I feel niggling an opponent and winding him up to put him off his game is perfectly acceptable in competitive sport. I see all sports as mental challenges also. There are a lot of people though who view this as cheating.

Your'e weak!!!! I can't feel the hate in you but you will never be ready for the darkside.

The game involves cheating simple as that!!!! Man United have been very good at getting reds as a team for example. It's as important as close control and basic footballing skill.

You mean like Sir Stanley Matthews, Tom Finney, Ferenc Puskas, Pele, Eusabio and Jimmy Greaves used to be so very good at to get the better of opponents?

What you've said there is biggest load of horse droppings I've ever heard.

No not at all!!! all clubs combine great football and the art of playing refs and crowds these days!!!!! we are rubbish at getting players booked and sent off. The Villa game for example we should have been surrounding the ref after every challenge rather than simply getting up and getting on with it. said after that game we will see one of our players have their legs broken soon and low and behold Gouff almost has.

I mean we have been out cheated by Brighton twice in two years and that is not acceptable!!!!1 it's part of the game and we need to work on it. If Pardew sticks to English methods of beeing fair it decreases our chances of success ten fold.
