Fulham away from the cottage have been poor for the last few seasons At home they get results, so I can't imagine them been to disappointed with the result, I can see why Norwich fans are frustrated as on paper that would have been a winnable game but in this league anything can happen look at Southampton tonight.
1) With the benefit of hindsight no, we didn't. Hughton wasn't to know the game would play out like that. But should he of swapped one of them off for an attacking player? Again, in the benefit of hindsight, yes, but as I have said many times, the attacking players he had available were either out of form, or untested. 2) Ah, yes. The Paul Lambert days when we have given anything for a clean sheet... funny thing is we get a few under Hughton but nobody is ever happy. I guess it depends on what happens next match - if we win, unbeaten in four, if we lose, ten games without a win!
I agree with the rest apart from this, the option was rarely there to play someone in, in that instance I prefer to pass back and keep the ball. To often we were trying to create with little to create for, Becchio did OK, no better than Holt, I think he's more of a reactive player than proactive ie he waits until the situation develops until he moves, rather than trying to initiate the situation to score. This is probably the type of player we need but I don't think it will work with no one to react with. I still have doubts Hughton will start with the two together.
Ah, yes, those were the days, 3 points, plenty of goals, entertainment. Everyone was desperate at the time for 0-0 bore draws, that was all anyone ever talked about!!!
Southampton would have gone out with the attitude that we can't hold them to a draw so let us try and win it.
This is the concern, my opinion is first line of Defence is attack, sitting deep is an awkward thing to do As any mistakes and your original plan is out of the window. Norwich have got the players to take the game to teams

That is what frustrates me. Against sides that 99% of fans would expect to be an easier ride we have shown reticence and yet against the top sides we have shown no fear at all.
Surely that is a widespread trait displayed by most teams (except those whose confidence is completely shot)? The reverse of it is displayed by top teams who don't perform against much weaker sides. In all the years I've supported City I can only remember a handful when we threw off that mentality. It is what sustained us throughout last season. I think the sign of a really good team is that they perform well against all levels of opposition. This IMO is what makes Man Utd stand out. Good teams never start matches with the belief that they only have to turn up to win, and never consider themselves underdogs at any time.
