Urgh, how are we this bad?? Fulham came here for the 0-0, offered next to nothing going forward. We didn't need both Tettey and Johnson holding. There was no creativity. Bennett was poor, Kamara came on far too late, but looked good when he did. If Surman is fit (and if he's not why is he on the bench?) then after 65mins we should have brought him on for Tettey or Johnson, and Kamara for Bennett. That way Surman would have offered the creativity, and between him and Kamara we shouldn't have been too narrow on the left.
I really hate to have to do this but... Lambert would had kept Becchio on and gone for the win with 3 up top...just sayin! I know he has been **** at Villa but you know he would have gone for it when he was here! We need to be going for it more. Having said all that, I completely agree with Longsight's view of still... its another point towards safety and the transitions can be made in the summer.

Oh FFS people! Did it not occur to anyone that Fullham might just have put in a superb defensive performance to earn a draw and that is maybe the reason we couldn't score? We certainly weren't brilliant going forwards, but we were NOT poor.
Wasn't a great game. But taking positives from it, it's another clean sheet and Kamara looks promising. Results went our way too. We're in a much better position than other teams, so I am not too down about the dull game.
Well we have gained another point over Reading, QPR and Newcastle so thats good. We have also kept a clean sheet. Yes it is frustrating the lack of attacking intent but it is clear CH is trying to build the team from the back. If we do stay up I think he will build on these foundations and introduce better quality going forward. Lets be fair most of us would of been delighted if you had said with 12 games to play we were 8 points clear of the drop. Its not all bad guys!
If we survive, and if we keep playing like this next season, I'm not going to be a happy Canary. I just can't see how the team of the 10 game run has deteriorated into this?! The defence were solid but had little to do, and whilst Garrido started strongly then faded, neither of the full-backs really helped with attacking too much. Snodgrass is the only non-defender to come out of that game with any credit really, although Becchio's hold up play was reasonable. In principle I like the formation, but I'd rather see some creativity in the holding midfield. If that means splashing out £8m on Biglia, then that's what we desperately need. Whilst the optimist in me calls it a point closer to safety, I really don't see where our next win is coming from. Southampton at home isn't until March! And before that Everton and Man Utd will be very tough. No points in those games really makes Southampton a must-win.
I will not disagree that Fulham played well from the midfield and back to the keeper but we just didn't look even remotely capable of breaking them down. As well as Fulham played, they were not that good.
Well, at least you partly acknowledge that, but the thing is that a) we were better than Fullham and I bet their fans are happy with that b) If we had been the away team no doubt we would be praising an epic defensive performance for only allowing Fullham one reasonably sight of goal - I know as Norwich fans it is our nature to see things from only our perspective but really it was Fullham defending very well combined with, to be fair to the moaners, mildy negative set-up and tactics from Hughton that conspired to produce this draw which we edged but did not win.
We were the better team, mostly thanks to the 2nd half when Fulham sat back even more than they did in the 1st half, and yes had we that been at Craven Cottage it would have been a big point. However it was not at Craven Cottage and the onus is for us to take the game to the away side, which imo we failed to do for the majority of the game. okay, we are a point further away from the bottom 3 tonight and a point closer to safety but that does not detract from it being seriously horrible to watch. I would not be surprised if some fans stop going if the performances remain the same over a sustained period.
FFS yourself. What game were you watching? WE WERE POOR! We looked like the away team. It's like a record at the moment. Well at least we got a point, QPR are ****e, and next season we are going to buy 4 world beaters. Judge every game on what you see and give a fair comment on that game. And the fair comment is, we didn't even try to win until the last 10 minutes.
Fulham manager Martin Jol after his side's 0-0 draw away to Norwich: "I thought we could have had three points. We were the better team in the first half, but we didn't exploit that because we didn't have a cutting edge in attack. So it's disappointing. "But I thought we did OK. Our preparation wasn't good because we had some injuries, so I'm happy with how the new players did." ****ing hell, what game was he watching?!? ****ing deluded!
Well, Hughton could not have made his case more clearly. We are going to survive by getting enough bore draws. If he does it, great, we'll all call him a hero. If not, he's toast.
It's not pretty but it will probably work. The dipstick reporting for the BBC said "Not a good result for either side whih keeps them both circling the Premiership plughole" Well MrBBC expert quite how that works when all the teams below us have just lost I fail to see.
Not sure surviving by the skin of our teeth after amassing a collection of bore draws will lead to hero status...we weren't that bothered about winning today...did my accumulator the world of good though...
Just for info. the last time we beat Fulham in any competition was in March 1986, in the Second Division. Since then, including today, we have played them 12 times, twice in the then Worthington Cup, the rest in the top league (First Division or Premier League). Our record against them in those 12 games is LOST 9, DRAWN 3.
I'm not one of the ones venting frustration over today's game, but IMO, history is irrelevant here, and with a small enough sample you can make the case for any trend in football.
