I find it an odd one, the only reason I would leave Evans out is his lack of ability on the ball and the only player in the squad who has worse abaility on the ball is Bruce They've got that Bridcutt haven't they? He's a big bastard in midfield, a proper tank in fact, maybe it's to do with standing up to him.
That's just ****ing ridiculous, we need footballers in midfield! This will be a game of who can keep the ball better, not a game of ping pong and who can win the most headers in midfield. Lost some browny points there for me Monsieur le Bruce Snr.

Brighton are much better footballing team than Millwall, it's not a game I'd expect us to stick a central defender in central midfield.
Bridcutt plays defensive midfield, for Bruce to mark him out the game, Bruce would have to play as an attacking midfielder.
Could they not have deployed the much more mobile Chester as a DM, he's played there before for us hasn't he? It just looks to me like a case of trying to fit Alex Bruce in by any means, which is crap because Evans is a much better player. Luckily, Bruce will have to get injured around the 70 minute mark, so then we can perhaps see Fathi come in.
Its not a case of marking him, just having someone strong and big in there to stop him just destroying the likes of Quinn and Koren. Koren in particular will have no chance against him.
Fathi isn't on the bench. Agree about Chester having the right attributes to play in DM and I wouldn't be surprised if he ended up being converted to a premier league holding midfielder at some point in his career.
