Controversial? Point one could be argued either way. Poinbts one are run of the mill opinions and probably factual.

Teams like Saints should have been made to stay in League one for three-five years minimum, following administration. This would maybe make clubs be run a little better financially and allow more kids to be playing league football. For us to get two promotions following administration due to new financial input is unfair and restricted teams who had played by the financial (sensible management) rules from progressing.

But who are you punishing? The people who took the club into administration are now gone.

That's how I see it, the owners or past owners who run a club into the ground forcing them into admin should be punished far more then they do currently.

Your telling me a game between Barca and Spain would be more exciting than a game between United and Germany? In the first match you wouldn't see a goal from outside the box you wouldn't see blistering pace or fantastic dribbling. You'd see some fantastic passing ability and while I can never take away from the skill required to play like that I like my games being played box to box with last ditch challenges and 50 yard sprints.

Barca vs Spain certainly would be exciting! First and foremost it would be a massive scientific milestone in being able to clone players. Seeing Busquets1 diving and Busquets2 consequently abusing him for diving would be hilarious.

    1. I think that Spain have an overrated side, they play average in most tournament games and end up progressing. Nonetheless I guess that's a sign of Champions.
    2. Germany have the best squad in the world. When they're at their best they win every game, but lack consistency and experience.
    3. Lallana has been our best player this season.

    1. Sky is the best thing to happen to football in my memory
    2. Gaurdiola is over-rated. He was simply carrying Rijkaard's torch.
    3. If we'd switched managers prior to the season starting, we'd be in the top half of the table.

    2. I agree with completely I'd win things with the squad be inherited! 3. It's too early to tell yet I reckon. 1. You'll need to elaborate on that!

Sky has Injected huge sums of cash into the game. Stadia and facilities are significantly improved. Cash has filtered through the divisions. The quality of player recruited into our league is significantly higher and their game coverage is unparalleled. Yes, many owners have overspent but that cannot be attributed to Sky.

    Now there's some controversy!

I can't think of anything controversial right now really, one thing I can think of which is more of a pet peeve and not controversial but I'll get it off my chest anyway, it really annoys me listening to pundits and commentators talk about players like Michu, Cabaye and Cisse (last season) like they are gems unearthed from the streets. The ignorance of these supposed experts to any thing outside of the Premier League (and even inside) just astounds me.

I have just thought of something fairly controversial, although not greatly on this board, Rickie Lambert is the closest thing to a complete striker in the league. Goals, fantastic set-pieces, strength, aerial ability, passing, technique, creativity. If he had the ability to run away from defenders he'd be one of the best in world football.

Now thats some controversy. I completley totally in everyway disagree with you but thats the point of this thread ey! The only thing I can think that Ronaldo is better at the messi is freekicks. Messi's passing dribling and goal scoring are just out of this world.

No one has said "We'll be playing in the Championship next season" as their number three.

Is that because no-one believes this, or because it's actually not very controversial?
