Anyway, haven't Leeds only just been bought out by mega rich billionaire oil thieves from the middle east? So why would Adam Pearson be looking to buy?

It seems their mega rich billionaire hasn't got a pot to piss in and they're already back up for sale.

Anyone who thinks Adam Perason wasn't passionate about Hull City during his tenure here is a fool - I have witnessed it first hand to know.

Yes he's made money along the way, thats what good businessmen do - the bit about Leeds is more about promoting himself anyway he can in the future and even though its TWS I don't personally hold that against him for one minute.

After enduring many years of turmoil supporting this Club post Harold Needler, as far as I am concerned AP was and always will be top drawer.

When AP lookd at Leeds before he backed off because it wasn't clear what's for sale. The more recent prospective buyers pulled out after having a good long look. These buyers had GFH acting on their behalf.

It's curious that GFH, from having sod all suddenly had enough to buy Leeds and did so even though they would have known what caused the original buyers to drop it.

Some claim had it not sold, it would have gone again soon.

I'm a cynic but Bates left little thorns in the deal at Chelsea that Abramovic still gets scratched by, so it wouldn't be much of a surprise to find he's still in there somewhere, but the last deal was done in an attempt to convince people into dealing, who wouldn't go near anything associated with Bates.

What's the odds on Bates buying them for a knockdown price?

At Derby it was announced when he was brought in that the reason he'd been brought in was to trim the fat and help find a buyer for the club. I don't see why their fans should be blaming him, unless they're also blaming the old owners for coming up with that job and giving it to him.

With gfh capital being private equity advisers I had assumed it was their customers who raised the money to buy Leeds, not the company itself?

And the above statement is why you would go bankrupt and the club would quickly disappear down the leagues

The blind devotion many show to AP is embarrasing. Wouldn't piss on him if he was on fire

Yes he can be credited with being the 'front of house' for somene who stopped us from going under but the notion that he's this great business man is simply deluded. He put peanuts in and did very well out of city.

If he was that great, strange his management company had its contract terminated and he didn't make too much of a fuss.....

The blind devotion point proven then. The reliance that some people place on what at best can be described as misinformation about ap is staggering.

I'd suggest that it's more case of you being blind to the FACTS!

AP was instrumental in saving our very existence, and, for me anyway, anyone that posts such a disrespectful post with regard to him is either a total froot or knows nothing about the clubs past!

Message boards are about opinions, unfortunately yours is VERY wrong.

Your view is based on opinion based on misinformation. Mine isn't. I don't expect you to accept that though as clearly shouting FACTS means you're right....

This romantic view of Adam Pearson being a saviour of the club is not one that I share and never have. It is well known and has been the subject of many threads in the past. Adam Pearson was here to front up a business for another. He came to Hull because of the investment opportunity and he did very well from his time here. He turned around the fortunes of the club in order to increase its value. And there is nothing wrong with that. Duffen was in league with Bartlett to do exactly the same, but he did not have Adam Pearsons knowledge of the commercial aspects of football or the contacts. It is not disrespectful not to share a view. Call me what you like, but it is something that I see all of the time in business. Managers who are very good at turning a business around. Assem Allam was/is one of the regions most successful. Staff who lost their jobs becuase of the changes in resource management of the club will never say that so and so was great for the club. Supporters want to see ticket prices reduced but at the same time want expensive players to come here. Adam Pearson had a desire for the club to succeed, he had the same at Leeds and at Derby, why becuase that is part and parcel of his job.

This thread's ridiculous. There shouldn't even be a debate on the subject. At any other club it would just be accepted that people like Pearson, etc. were held in high regard after what they've done.

I met AP a few times and he was perfect for the club. Anyone suggesting he was in it to make money is miles wide of the mark. He was massively passionate about this club and did a hell of a lot of good for it.

<applause> that's fair. Don't dispute he did a job for us at the beginning, but still wouldn't piss him if he was on fire!!!
