Worst driver of the last 20 years

Autosport have been running a poll in their live text commentary of testing of the worst drivers to have graced F1 in the last 20 years. Was diappointed with the eventual shortlist of:

Jean-Denis Deletraz
Taki Inoue
Gaston Mazzacane
Giovanni Lavaggi
Alex Yoong

As good as it is, I'm sure we could come up with better

 

I dont think Mazzacane and yoong were that bad. at least they could keep near abouts the pace ala Karthekeyan.

Im thinking Domenico Schiattarella

 

...oh and his worser predecessor Jean Marc gounon

 

Deletraz has to be there I am sure that there was a race in which he was lapped within 3 laps by the leader and he was something like 12 seconds off the pace. Ande three seconds slower than his team mate who wasn't even that good! Desperately slow.

 

I dunno, I thought Schiattarella did well in the circumstances. Nearly scored points in Argentina 95 after Verstappen retired too. It was a difficult time and I don't think he could've done much better in the circumstances.

But then I have always had a soft spot for Simtek and everything associated with it.

 

Where is Paul Belmondo? He had a whole season of fail!

 

Surely Luca Badoer must be a contender?

Chanoch Nissany. Did a test for Minardi a few years back, when he made the now infamous radio call about having "Too much grip". The guy made Deletraz look like Schumacher.

Pedro Diniz. I know we dont come to expect much from pay drivers .... but like seriously he was poor

 

He wasnt that bad later on. he made Damon look silly a few times

 

Anyone who scored points cannot be considered the worst driver in 20 years, so def with you on this one Bando

 

so that rules out Narain and Luca aswell.

Narain infact holds the record for the lowest finisher in a race ever! though I still rate him higher than some of the clowns mentioned above

No it doesn't rule out Badoer - he has the record for the most races entered without scoring a point

 

oh yer he broke down didnt he. That moment still hurts now.
