And it seems that our Mick has done alright in the league... Mick currently occupying the 26th place spot with Jewell languishing in 115th Some very interesting statistics (although has to be taken in context as this doesn't really prove who the best managers are ) but certainly worth a glance on a Friday afternoon.. Some managers will surprise you http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/21372441
Look how high Steve Kean is. But this is the table that really matters of course (LMA performance table) http://www.leaguemanagers.com/managers/mpl-league.html
Its an interesting read for certain but have to agree with King in the fact its an on the surface look at things and many other factors need to be taken into account before it can be termed as a 'best manager' table. Things like squad size and funding are major contributions between different teams. Jewells position doesnt surprise me but I would have thought MM would have been slighly lower and the contrast between the two with a very similar set of players is slightly amazing.
Interesting but meaningless, similar to the form table although it does show what an improvement McMarthy is making for you which must be gratifying as it looks like getting shot of Jewell may be the difference between a relegation dogfight and top half finish for your lot. Only one table matters and that is the one at the end of the season. From an NCFC standpoint you look at CH crawling along in the 80's you'd think we were in a terrible position rather than lower mid-table in the Premier League (I know that this is a bit glass half-full but you've got to be optimistic). Still at least Lambert is languishing even lower.
And I am glad to see Mr Weasel struggling, would love to see him fail after he thought the grass is greener in Birmingham (nothing against Villa)
