...one of those that you've seen before but the drama of the picture itself is something else when you see it in the flesh. Delacroix's Liberty Leading the People. It was a tiny bit ruined for me when Coldplay stuck it on an album cover but it's genuinely one of those pictures that is soooo much better when you see it for real - it also laid the template for how liberty or feminised versions of representative figures for bodies of people were portrayed. Some ****ing screwball has graffitti'd it with some 9/11 conspiracy stuff Part of me thinks they should keep the extra scribbles on it. http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-europe-21380562 I just hope you can still see the nips on it properly
According to the prosecutor, it was someone "with a French-sounding name". Plenty for Dev to get his teeth stuck into there
I've been grudgingly dragged along to museums and galleries all over the world. Spain, New York, Vegas. It's all a pile of crap. I saw a wallpaper pasting table in one of them, I'm still not sure if it was an exhibit or someone was using it.
You can't say that about the Louvre, though. Half the things in it are things you saw pictures of in primary school and the like. The Winged Victory of Alsace thing (if it's still at the top of those stairs) is ****ing breathtaking, as is the Wedding at Cana picture etc etc etc. Go to the Louvre

Please don't make me go, please. I don't want to. If you make me go I'll tell the social workers about you and then they'll really do some amount of paperwork on you.
Some people protested at the cost ... it cost the taxpayer nothing. It cost £8k ... its worth approx £60m! No idea with the Catholics protrested tho!
