Lewis - "We have some work to do but it doesn't feel like it's a disaster." Well, guess that's okay then.
BBC Sport chief F1 writer Andrew Benson on Twitter: "Ross Brawn: There is an awful lot to do. We need to quietly get on with it, not panic and make sure we do things in the right way." please log in to view this image
Judging by the time drop off over a given set of laps I'd say that we can confidently conclude that racing boots full of jelly can be thrown only marginally further than your average wellington. This however doesn't account for the lack of mayo in the lunchtime sammies which can only be put down to the fitness trainer being and absolute boring bell end.
a lot of negative noise coming from Lewis and Ross there. I would have thought despite reliability the car isnt too bad
Barcelona will be a better idea of where they're at and what the season holds for them. The drop-off over long runs will be watched quite closely to see if Mercedes have got a grip (no pun) on the tyres.
Lewis has said it is a good foundation to work from. He says more downforce is needed. Wouldn't say it's negative just realistic optimism if that makes sense...
I don't think anybody has truly put the hammer down yet, so they're probably anticipating a drubbing by the last day.
Reverse psychology, their car can go 10s a lap faster, even on the super diamond carbo-titanium tyres.
I was wondering why Bianchi hadn't been out on track for a while so I checked Force India's twitter and saw this: Sahara Force India ‏@clubforce @Jules_Bianchi has completed his programme for the day with 56 laps under his belt. @pauldirestaf1 will be back in the car for final 2 hours WHAT THE **** IS THIS? They said before the test that only Bianchi would be doing day four. They did the same thing to Rossiter - on day two he was supposed to have the whole afternoon session but they only gave him the final hour. That boring pos Di Resta has had his chance. Why give him more time?
Nvm: thejudge13 ‏@thejudge13 #f1 Sauber in big trouble. Engine sounds like a bag of spanners. And stinks or molten metal.
He is turning into their bumboy, but then he wants a better team. lol I bet Bianchi gets the seat anyway.
Interesting stat on Sky: 384 - Sauber 336 - Red Bull 308 - Force India 295 - Toro Rosso 287 - Williams 277 - Caterham 270 - McLaren 257 - Mercedes 253 - Ferrari 235 - Lotus 210 - Marussia
Interesting: Ferrari denies Alonso recovering from rib injury Ferrari on Friday denied rumours Fernando Alonso is nursing an injury. Most suspect that the Spaniard is sitting out the Jerez test this week so that the new F138 car can be 'shaken down' by Felipe Massa and Pedro de la Rosa ahead of Alonso's debut on the much more representative Barcelona track. But one or two whispers in the Jerez paddock this week suggested Alonso may have injured a rib whilst karting last month. However, as the double world champion is currently running and cycling in Dubai and happily posting photos to Twitter to prove it, a Ferrari spokesperson said on Friday: "It's obvious how hard Fernando is training at the moment. "This rumour (about the injury) is utter nonsense and totally untrue," Ferrari added.
It probably is a major injury, why would they not want their best driver testing from the off? But when I saw the picture someone posted up earlier, he looked a bit slimmer than he does in the (in-season), so I wonder if he is spending more time building muscle and fine-tuning for the (in-season).
