I know, what a strange recruitment policy the BBC must have for selecting a television presenter. Squad: All eight of the players away on international duty on Tuesday and Wednesday look to have come through unscathed and returned to Tyneside.

Hatem Ben Arfa is closing in on a return after recovering from the injury that has kept him out of action since our defeat at Fulham in December. However it remains to be seen whether he makes the squad for White Hart Lane.

Dan Gosling and Ryan Taylor are both back in training but yet to make a playing return, leaving Haris Vuckic as the last long-term absentee. Danny Simpson's fitness is tbc.

Cheick Tiote will be available for selection after returning from international duty. He's missed the last five games in all competitions.

Best game we've played so far was against Chelsea, hard to drop anybody after that performance.

 

That was also his prediction for the Chelsea game and we all know what happened next, wouldn't say no to a repeat performance. HTL.

We haven't been very good lately but I'm hoping our players have had the time to sort themselves out. I do worry that for a few of our Internationals this will be their 5th game in 13 days and Bale usually suffers a hangover after working his ass off for Wales. On the plus side Bale's never been in better form and he only played 60 minutes midweek, also your internationals would be in a similar position, I guess.

I'm hoping AVB looks at what worked last season for us against you guys, I know you weren't at full strength but I hope Bale's moved back out to the wing and we look to get at your full backs. If Dembele returns to form I think his battle with Sissoko/Tiote in midfield will be excellent to watch, I do worry if he has another quiet game though.

Anyway, I think we're all expecting a good game, it's a tough one to call but we really need the 3 points. After closing down Chelsea and reopening our lead on Everton, I think we'll need it.

It's because the later trains are double the price. If we take the train no one else wants it's naturally cheaper, and me and my dad aren't bothered about getting up early.
