So Ferrari suffering with heat problems early on? Not the best problem to have since it involves the whole cockpit causing it.
Lewis running PDRS device: please log in to view this image Edit: To be honest I think that version is classified as a "super DRS" since it's attached to the rear wing.
Hard to say, think the top 3 are in the mid 18 mark, Lotus knocking in the high 18's to low 19's McLaren are sandbagging though, top by miles on harder tyre on the first day, then they go quiet and keep finishing mid grid around 5th-8th over the other days.
And now there is a new best time: 1:18.565 min Vettel moves to the hard compound. Räikkönen was also faster. The Lotus saunter up to three. Just before the lunch break, all give gas again. Pretty quick!
BBC F1 technical analyst Gary Anderson in Jerez "I'm out on the track watching the cars and it looks like the Red Bull has 10% more downforce than anything else. The McLaren still has constant understeer through the corners, the Mercedes has understeer on entry and then the rear snaps on exit, while the Lotus looks well balanced. The Ferrari is in the pits having its gearbox changed so we can't get a comparison with that." ****, not again...I can only hope Ferrari's strange sounding engine yesterday was them successfully testing Red Bull's reduced cylinder traction control trick. Another thing, the Mercedes sounds like it's handling like the F2012 (not saying it's as bad as the F2012)
