Tiger just a thought why wonder how the monkey did something better off trying to find out why the Monkey did it?
Oh in answer to your question a shirt I no longer have the shirt we wore during our promotion season to the top flight under AD
Have a look at these and please, take your time.... http://www.historicalkits.co.uk/Bristol_City/Bristol_City.htm
Wiz I also loved the first top you have pictured up there, reminds me off when I first started watching City, however was there a short sleeve version of this top, without the white V-neck, and black piping instead of white?? Or is my memory playing tricks on me? Worst was defo that horrid purple effort in the early 90's. Edit.......Do you mean this delight...? please log in to view this image
This one please log in to view this image Provides me with my best city memories. Promoted to the championship with BTC and almost to the prem with BTC as our sponsor. Get them back I say!

My favourite is any shirt that has red as it's main colour with white flashing if necessary and does NOT have any BLACK on it at all. This season's away kit is superb. Why could they not get that in red and white is beyond me.
Wize, there is a small mistake in that the 1954-55 kit when we won promotion was also used the following season 1955-56. I've sent a message to the compiler of that page.
On the subject of colours, I have always felt it would be good to acknowledge the part that Bedminster FC played in our history. How about this kit as our away or third choice. Claret and amber stripes with black shorts will not clash with any team wearing red.
Thanks for the list - liked the 2001/2 the best and couldn't help thinking of Peter Cormack when I saw the '78 shirt. Above all it proves to me the current shirt is by far the worst we've had in our entire history. It's almost funerial - appropriate to see us relegated.
I do like our home shirt this season, and one of few who do. Although if the black part would of been White it would of looked the part and wouldn't of seen many moan about it.
This one in red and white was my first and still is my favourite all time shirt. I got it when I was 6, and my dad took me to my first game against Derby County (0-0). My dad bought one as well, and I now wear his to my 5aside kickabouts! Still in good nick! Edit...........Hope this is the one.... please log in to view this image
