... and where do you expect to finish come the end of the season? Personally, I'd give him til Christmas, if he ain't in the top 6 by then get rid and get somebody else in before the transfer window opens. I expect the play-offs at the very minimum next season, the time for excuses is over.
Give him at least another season and see what happens, I doubt theres any chance he would get us relegated. I expect us to finish around 5th next season. Its way to early to be predicting what will happen, we'll have a different squad then and we don't know who else is coming down. Realistically in my opinion we couldn't get a better manager than Nigel and I have faith in him and his staff to get us promoted eventually if given time.
Um, is this a wind up? Taking into consideration our financial circumstances over the last year and the massive player turnover, I think that NP has done a great job. The time to judge will be at the end of next season when he has had time to assemble and build his own squad, playing the way that he wants. We certainly wouldn't want any knee-jerk reactions like sacking him by Christmas if we're not in the top six. Even if we don't get promoted next season, we need to have continuity at the club, that is the foundation for building great teams. Of course football is a results business and who know what might happen but I think that AP and the Allams have as much faith in NP as the vast majority of Tigers fans do. So in other words give Nigel as long as he needs.
I can only reply hypothetically as i don't know what signings we will make, who our rivals will sign and who will be in the league in August. I see no reason why we can't be in the top 6, but i'm keeping an open mind an expecting it to be a tough league next season. I'd definetly give Nigel the season, I can't see us being involved in any relegation battle and it's important the club has some stabability. As i say, this really isn't much use until the start of the season when we'll all have a much better idea, so may be post a similar thread at the start of the season for a better based response?
Was my answer not simple enough for you? Can't you find something more constructive to do with you time, than trying to irritate everyone on here with a completely pointless and deliberately provocative article? Haven't you got some adding up to do?
Too simple. I don't see how this was provocative, it was a simple enough question. You're supposed to be the moderator, could you not at least try and keep this thread on topic? How long would you give him? Clever.
how long you give him depends on whats happening..if by christmas, where bottom 3 , and still havent had a shot on target (dont rule it out ) ..i very much doubht his job will be safe....if where top of the league, it probably will be...
The article may be asking a simple enough question, but the fact you've started it with 'how long are you going to give NP' seems an overtly negative way to look at next season, rather than starting the article with a neutral 'what are your thoughts for next season?' By all means give your opinion, but by naming the article like you have done is likely to get on a few people's nerves.
